About this property
Fireside Retreat w/free Biltmore Pass and more
Bring your pets and enjoy the wood-burning fireplace and the indoor gas fire pit by the hot tub! Located in the Gateway Mountain nature preserve, Fireside Retreat is a private, secluded getaway in the tranquil Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy FREE activities every day with Pete Key Properties, including Biltmore, Skiing, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, and Timber Axe Throwing.
The home features cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, TV, fast WiFi, and a screened porch with hot tub. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bath on the main level which features an open kitchen and living room. The master suite is the entire upstairs loft with large closet and private bathroom.
On the screened porch with its hot tub and mountain views, you will also find a comfy couch, fire table and large TV. Watch movies and shows outside by the light and warmth of the fire table, or ease your muscles in a hot tub in the cool mountain air while the big game is on right in front of you!
We have lots of grilling options, including a gas grill, a charcoal grill and even a pellet wood smoker for for that delicious smoked flavor that only patience and skill can put on the table!
The cabin sits on 5 acres of quiet, secluded private property. Enjoy this truly peaceful setting that you can share with family, friends and pets. The surrounding area is a gateway to the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and endless opportunities for hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. It’s an easy hike to Catawba Falls, a stunning 100-foot waterfall that is sure to impress. Bring your mountain bike, your kayak and other outdoor gear! Asheville and Black Mountain are just down the road so check out the Biltmore Estate and other nearby attractions.
Gateway Mountain nature preserve is very natural and untamed, with only 300 houses on its 3000 sprawling acres. Private hiking trails wind through the woods in many areas. There are three small lakes on the property where you can fish, canoe, swim and relax. Be sure to visit the upper and lower falls at Waterfall Park where you can swim and go behind the lower waterfall. There is a covered picnic area there with a large stone table.
We are so excited to host your visit! The Pete Key Properties team welcomes you and is here to help create a memorable experience. Enjoy the free activities described above, and you can also book helicopter tours, e-bikes, wellness tours and hiking and more through our Activity Concierge. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need anything at all. We look forward to seeing you soon!
