Lakefront cabin near Hood Canal - outdoor shower, hot tub, kayak + floating dock
New! Looking for a romantic escape or family getaway? Our westward-facing 1100 sq ft cabin truly has it all – a hot tub nestled under pine trees, outdoor shower, floating dock in summer, fireplace + pit, kayak, canoe, SUP, lawn games, darts, BBQ, a well-equipped kitchen and comfy beds.
Trails End is a hidden gem – a clear, no-motor lake 5 mins from Hood Canal. Swim in warm water, free from tides. The lake is stocked with trout three times a year - BYO fishing gear and enjoy a morning out in our canoe. Relax under cedar trees, or explore local hikes, Olympic National Park, oyster bars, clamming + golf.
We are 90 minutes from Seattle, 45 minutes from the historic harbor town of Gig Harbor, and hiking trails in the Olympics are as little as 30-40 minutes away - snowshoe in the winter, forage for mushrooms in the fall. For longer stays, the gorgeous Washington coast is an atmospheric day trip for exploring tide pools and beaches with rock formations.
Families can just show up - we have a travel crib, toys, books, art supplies, games, puzzles, kids life vests, pool noodles and more.

We're a PNW-based family with a love of travel who has always wanted a second place to call home and make special memories. Since having kids, we exclusively stay at rentals, and designed our home with luxurious comfort and convenience in mind.
Why they chose this property
Trails End Lake is a small, serene, no motor lake that's a great year-round destination (though the lake gets bathwater warm in summer!). Just 90 minutes from Seattle, making it a wonderfully easy getaway. What's more, the Lake is just 5 minutes from the gorgeous Hood Canal.
What makes this property unique
Beautiful decor, luxury bedding and mattresses, and we've thought of all the little details to make your stay especially comfortable and fun.
