If you’re unfamiliar with the Adirondack. it’s important to understand that we are surrounded by wildlife in their natural environment. It is common to see deer, groundhogs, fox, squirrels and field mice around the property and fish, frogs, turtles, geese and other insects in and around Eve’s Cabin. All are harmless and guests should be comfortable sharing outdoor spaces with these creatures before booking. In spring and early summer months especially, there may be ticks, mosquitos and other insects near the property. We have insect repellant in the drawer next to the door to our back outdoor deck, and a fire-pit by the back of the deck to help drive away bugs, but they come with the territory of a genuine outdoor experience.
Heating/Cooling/Temperatures:
We do have zoned heating. Each bedroom has its own unit which you can control the temperatures separately, as does the living room and kitchen/dining area. Generally, you can expect temperatures here to be 10 degrees cooler than New York City. Even in the summer, you might want to bring comfortable sweatshirt and sweatpants for cooler nights.
Be advised that while the property is private and we are surrounded by campgrounds. Neighbors do use their own land for hunting. Please follow "no trespassing" signs.

About the host
Hosted by Eve

Hi there! My name is Eve, and I’m so excited to share a little piece of our story with you.
A few years ago, my family and I stumbled upon this beautiful log cabin tucked away in the peaceful woods of Stony Creek, NY. We were immediately drawn to its rustic charm — the creaky wood floors, the warm glow of the fireplace, and the way the morning light dances through the trees. It felt like home from the moment we walked in.
We’ve spent countless weekends here making memories — sipping coffee on the porch, hiking nearby trails, watching snow fall quietly in the winter, and gathering around the fire pit under a sky full of stars. This cabin has been our escape from the hustle and bustle, a place where we can truly breathe and slow down.
Over time, we realized we wanted to share that feeling with others. So, we decided to open up our cabin to guests looking for the same sense of peace, adventure, and connection with nature. Whether you’re here to explore the Adirondacks, snuggle up for a cozy weekend, or just take a break from everyday life, we hope our cabin feels like a home away from home for you too.

Why they chose this property
When we were searching for the perfect place to escape to — somewhere quiet, beautiful, and full of nature — Stony Creek immediately felt like the right choice. It’s a small, charming town tucked in the southern Adirondacks, and it has that “hidden gem” feel — peaceful, not crowded, but close enough to nearby attractions if you want to explore.
We loved that Stony Creek offers the best of both worlds:
• Quiet and privacy — surrounded by woods, mountains, and streams, you can really relax and feel like you’ve gotten away from it all.
• Adventure nearby — if you want to venture out, you’re a short drive to Lake George, Saratoga Springs, and endless hiking trails, fishing spots, and swimming holes.
• A true small-town feel — everyone is welcoming, and there’s a strong sense of community here. Whether it’s the local tavern with live music or a simple walk down the road, Stony Creek makes you feel at home.
We chose Stony Creek because it’s a place where you can sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and hear nothing but the birds and breeze — and to us, that’s priceless. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeper, and just be.
That’s why we love it here, and we hope you will too.

What makes this property unique
Our cabin isn’t just a cozy getaway — it sits perched on top of a hill, giving you a beautiful bird’s-eye view of the surrounding woods and the charming campground tucked beneath.
From the front porch or living room windows, you can sit back, relax, and take in panoramic views of nature — whether it’s morning mist rising from the trees, golden sunsets sinking below the hills, or a sky full of stars at night.
What makes it even more special is that you get the peace and privacy of being above it all, while still feeling connected to the fun and life of the campground below. You’ll hear the gentle hum of life when it’s lively, but still have your own quiet space to retreat to.
Whether you want to join the campers for a day of fun, or stay tucked away in your own private world, you get the best of both experiences here.
Our hilltop cabin is truly a hidden gem — a place to soak in nature, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy a view that makes you feel on top of the world.
