Clean and Quaint
Birthday getaway… plans fell through bad weather all weekend. Nice clean space for no more than two people. Kitchen fully stocked. Bed was comfortable linens were clean. Bathroom was clean towels were fluffy and smelled great, However, there were no face cloths.
Grocery store short walking distance.
I brought my small dog. She was comfortable. There were a LOT of people outside, walking their dogs all times a day.
Pizza place next-door a few restaurants I didn’t get to visit. Gas station across the street.
The beach was a 12 minute walk to Pier 66. It was very secluded the few times I went. The nearest dog friendly beach is a five minute drive down the street at Pier 55- really 53 through 58. There are a few dog, friendly restaurants near Pier 55.
The host Donnie provided beach amenities however I would think you would want to drive to the beach. I didn’t find public beach parking near so you’ll have to get creative.
The back porch is very cute and very clean however, there’s very minimal amount privacy from the neighbors. I wasn’t able to control the thermostat. There was no thermostat available to me in the room at the time.
I got locked out for about a half hour Not due to my fault.
The host Donnie, Was fairly quick with responses and quick to rectify all the situations.
He even sent happy birthday cookies for the inconveniences.
Wouldn’t recommend for a single female, but OK for a single male or couple with a kid or a dog.
I would consider returning in the future.
