About this property

Charmingly renovated 1920's ski cottage in Indian Village in Wakefield.

This recently renovated 1920's home provides a convenient site for enjoyment of the outdoor activities with an unbeatable 200 yard walk away from the new high speed chair lift at Jackson Creek Summit. After skiing, warm up in the brand new 6 person electric steam Finnish built cedar sauna. Enjoy the modern amenity of the gas fireplace in this elevated style of home featuring the mixture of new furniture with handpicked period pieces. Return to a family-sized kitchen and dining room where you can comfortably seat your whole group. Then retreat to one of five PRIVATE bedrooms; each sleeps 2 people. All bedrooms have new mattresses & bedding, mirrors, plug ins, and doors. There are 2 bathrooms each with a shower, featuring an on-demand water heater that never runs out of hot water for your shower. In the evenings, enjoy WIFI TV & movies, boardgames, the shot ski, or evening hikes around the Snowriver Resort which features bars, restaurants, shopping at the chalet, and entertainment. We welcome you to our ski home, this is not a typical rental, because it is actually a family cabin. It's independently owned, not run by a big corporation. You will not find open concept lofts packed with multiple twin beds and no privacy. Experience what winter has to offer with a stay at our house.

Great place

We booked for a long weekend for skiing for my extended family of 10. The location is awesome, can walk to the chalet at Indianhead if you want to. The house was perfectly clean and remodeled very well, the sauna is great too. Host was extremely responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Warm relaxing stay

Sally was an amazing host. She was super helpful and informative. We really enjoyed our stay and felt like we were invited to stay at Sally’s actual home. Looking forward to our next visit back!

Great experience

Everything was perfect and comfortable in every way. We couldn’t get the sauna working, but it wasn’t a big deal. Will stay again.

Ski Trip

Our stay was very pleasurable. The old house has a lot of charm. It snowed a lot during our stay, but the driveway was cleared daily. Shovels were provided for us to maintain the steps and walks. The gas fireplace in the front room was very nice. The outdoor sauna worked well too. The only very minor inconveniences was that there was only a small amount of tin foil available, and there was no Keurig coffee maker.
