About this property

Secluded Log Cabin with Catskill Mountain Views, Seasonal Pond & Cozy Fireplace

Hi! Please scroll down to "contact host" button. I will OFFER you a stay after we chat. Price is generally $350 for 1 night and $90 - 200 for additional nights, based on dates. Ask about last minute discounts!

Spend cozy evenings reading beside the fire or listening to the sounds of nature on the front porch of my beautiful, rustic log cabin. Fish for trout just down the hill on Woodland Valley creek or the Esopus River a mile away. Just down our road is a beautiful hike with 25 mile views.

My place is cozy, homey, magical but not fancy or renovated! This is a perfect spot for nature lovers who want true serenity and the glory of the mountains and sunshine all around you. No matter the season, you will find your soul restored after a stay at my cabin!

We currently have some cooling in the cabin -- a mini split in the main living space provides cooling (and heating in the winter). At night it gets cool in the mountains; we do not have a/c in the bedrooms presently but will be adding mini splits to the bedrooms this year.

I love dogs and cats as long as they don't scratch or pee or munch things in my cabin. They will thank you for taking them to this little piece of heaven!

A note -- I have a 5-night minimum until 2-3 weeks ahead. After that, I can offer a stay of 1-4 nights. I can't indicate this on the calendar. Just let me know your dates and I can send the offer.

This listing is a very special place! It's really a slice of heaven yet not too far from town. But it's not a place with lots of amenities -- e.g., dishwasher, perfectly level walls and floors, etc. It's all simple and so it's not right for everyone. If you are expecting a place like your apartment in the city, it won't work for you. It's paradise if you like to get away from your regular life.

The price is generally $450 for the first two nights for up to three people, and $100 for each additional night, higher on holidays, lower last minute. This pricing system starts over each Friday. VRBO doesn't have a way to show this except by showing a weekend price, but the price is by number of nights, not by which nights.

Another mile up the road are some of New York State's best hiking and camping trails.

My cabin and the cottage next door are cozy, homey, magical but not fancy or renovated! This is a perfect spot for nature lovers who want true serenity and the glory of the mountains and sunshine all around you. No matter the season, you will find your soul restored after a stay here!

Why they chose this property

Woodland Valley is beautiful in every season!

What makes this property unique

I have two cabins on 1 and a half acres. This listing is just for the log cabin, which has a more private property. But you can ask about booking both if you are traveling with another family. They are about 50 yards apart, but have their own property and space so that you can have time apart and time together with your extended family.

THE CABIN -- A very private property that can't be seen from our little country road. Spend cozy evenings reading beside the fire or listening to the sounds of nature on the front porch of this beautiful, rustic log cabin. Fish for trout just down the hill on Woodland Valley creek or the Esopus River a mile away. Just down our road is a beautiful hike with 25 mile views.
