About this property
Luxurious Romantic Blue Ridge Mt retreat w/trout creek/pond/Roan Mt. view
The CreekHouse is an easily accessible vacation destination, located just 3 miles north of the quaint town of Bakersville NC in a rural area only 18 minutes from Carver's Gap and Roan Mountain Appalachian trail. A romantic luxurious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 1000 sq ft. cabin, with an over 200 sq ft. spectacular screened porch, gazebo, boulder garden, pond and manicured 3 acre landscaping, with blue ribbon trout stream on the property. Once you arrive, you won't want to leave, you will be greeted by songbirds and sounds of rushing water.
We got you covered for rain or shine with inside/outside games, books for every age, coloring books and color pencils, stargazer telescope, books about star watching, bird watching, local activities, flower press to create memories of the local fauna and lots of toys for every age.
After spending time at the water, you may want to relax on the large screened porch or in the screened gazebo, or spend quiet time in prayerful meditation in the boulder garden.
The CreekHouse includes all the comforts of a home such as central air, ceiling fans in each room, WIFI, Smart TV, DVD player, lots of wonderful DVD's, washer and dryer, ceramic tile floors, in the master bedroom; DVD/VCR player, private bath, walk-in closet, electric fireplace. The bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house for extra privacy. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances and waiting for your culinary masterpiece. In the fall season take advantage of the apples and black walnuts on the property.
But being at the CreekHouse is more about being outside and connecting with nature. You might start your day with coffee on the screen porch or you might want to cook breakfast out on the grill that is located on the deck. You may then wish to take your breakfast platter to the screened gazebo down by the water and enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while you enjoying your meal. Or you might want to walk around the pond to watch the dragonflies and frogs scattering around. In the evening, you can make a fire in a firepit next to gazebo and watch in delight as the lightening bugs put on a show that will take you back to your childhood memories of capturing them in a bottle.
Staying at the CreekHouse is certain to be a vacation you will always remember.

The magic of CreekHouse brought us to North Carolina. Previously we lived at different parts of the word and spent the past decades in California but after visiting the CreekHouse we decided to leave everything behind and move to Bakersville North Carolina where we first bought another house. Few months later the CreekHouse got on the market, we couldn't resist and decided to buy it. The mountains surrounding Bakersville is the home of many artists, many of them have the similar stories; once they visited the area, decided to move here. We both studied art in Europe but life drifted us to other carriers, fortunately now we have the opportunity to continue our broken path. The beauty of the natural scenery is just indescribable; everyday is a wonder. When we are not at the CreekHouse, we are hiking, creating art, remodeling our other house, visiting galleries, taking pictures of the wonderful wildlife or practicing culinary art. We enjoy making people happy by sharing the CreekHouse with our guests.
Why they chose this property
The moment we saw this property we wanted to call it ours. The serenity of this property just magical. It is a labor of love to maintain the large lush landscaping with private creek bordering the property and a pond but it is worth every effort.
Deer, wild turkeys and many different birds are frequent visitors here, magical to watch them from the large screened porch. Spending time at CreekHouse is a life changing experience as many of our CreekHouse guests called it. We like the fact it is in the center of many activities; ski area, waterfalls, hikes, ziplining, gem mining, horse riding, rafting, Asheville, Johnson City, Burnsville, Spruce Pine. All within 45 minutes of drive which is in Los Angeles traffic term: “very close”.

What makes this property unique
Everything about this place is unique, but sitting on the front porch looking straight up at the Roan Mountain while listening to birds chatter ceaselessly against the background sounds of the rushing water makes it a place like no other. As if that were not enough, the spiritual private boulder garden located just to the left of the screened porch is a total unexpected delight.
