So happy to be near other friends and family staying at the Resort!
Weavers Cottage was about a mile away from the Resort, an easy walk or bike ride to beach access, and not too far from the ferry terminal and general store.
Our group was able to be together in the house or in separate areas. The kitchen was equipped for all the cooking we did. We used one table as a game table and the other as an eating table Which worked really well!
There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows for everyone, and space! Lots of space!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful cottage! We will be back!
We appreciated our family getaway with the perfect location and view. The updates in the kitchen are wonderful and we had access to all the dishes/amenities we needed. We enjoyed family dinners together with the beautiful sunset view. The neighbors were also amazing!
We’ve been coming to Guemes for decades and to Weaver’s Cottage for many years. It’s a lovely rental in a great location. Public beach access isn’t far down the road and the tide flats and rocky shoreline offer hours of fun. The owners recently updated the kitchen space and cabinets and did a wonderful job. We’re already looking forward to our return next year!
Our niece got married at the resort on Guemes, and we needed a place to stay. Lots of space for the kids, and we enjoyed the board games in our down time. Thank you for the lovely stay!
My parents, my siblings and I (all adults) booked this home for a family gather on a lovely fall weekend. This home was perfect for our needs. The huge kitchen with a gorgeous view was well-appointed and had yards of counter space for all of our meal preparations and room for many of us to work at the same time. Two tables allowed for dedicated puzzle and game space as well as a dining table. The big back bedroom was perfect for my parents to have a quiet retreat from the noisy kids, and the visiting peacocks were a hit. This home is going on my list for a future stay!
It was a great relaxing getaway, aside from some very large spiders. I would recommend spraying based on the amount of spiders and webs we saw in and on the house. A cookie sheet would have also been a helpful addition to the kitchen. Otherwise we had everything we needed and visits from the peacocks were thoroughly enjoyed by my 19 year old daughter!
We’ve stayed at Weavers Cottage for several years and always really enjoy our stay. Simple, but comfortable accommodations with lots of cooking supplies and places relax. Thoughtful touches like puzzles, playing cards, and dog beds/towels were much appreciated.
The property was very nice and comfortable. The kitchen is large, spacious and well outfitted.
The Island is beautiful, easy to get to and has great hiking opportunities on beaches or in forested areas. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

NIGHTMARE HOUSE!!
Although the property was beautiful the owner is a COMPLETE NUTCASE!!!!!! We had Family who was also staying across the street so we had people coming back and forth on the 4th of July. The owner of the property walked into the house while my friend was sleep and completely freaked out on us because of the number of people the neighbors were “counting” coming to and from the house!! No matter what I said to explain, she was not having it. The manager was professional but the owner is a complete nut case. She also Then proceeded to stalk us at the property cod the next two days, make a racist comment about my friend, and shut the water off on us twice!! They left us minimal towels, no cleaning supplies, and kept talking about their septic tank. They are total freaks I do NOT RECOMMEND EVER USING THIS PROPERTY!! We felt unsafe and completely uncomfortable for the last two nights of our stay. I actually left the property and did not go back for the last two nights and stayed with my family down the street. NOT A GOOD SITUATION TO BE IN WITH FAMILY!!!!!!
We had a great time and the property was as good as advertised! We really appreciated the views from that side of that side of the island. Perfect place to spend the weekend with our kids (3 & 5) and our pup.
We were attending a wedding at the island’s resort. This home is just under a mile away, so we walked the quiet road, and encountered a peacock and deer. Guemes is a magical little island, and this house, sporting a breathtaking view and quiet surroundings, was a perfect home base for our weekend.
This was a very comfortable cabin, nicely appointed and decorated. Vey quiet and private with great views of Penguin Harbor and Bellingham Bay. Beautiful even on a cloudy day. Beach access is close enough for an easy walk to get to the beach.
My husband and I, our three grown children, and our dog spent an absolutely wonderful week at this home. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place with a great view away from it all, this is it! We didn't leave the whole week. It was clean, there was plenty of space, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware and a few other basic things, like ice/coffee/spices/condiments. We had a few questions for the property manager and were contacted almost immediately. Definitely worth it!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Weaver’s Cottage. Was greeted by the neighborhood peacock when we arrived and then the rest of the roost every evening. They left some teeny feather souvenirs! It’s small but it has some colors on the tip!
The kitchen is spacious and had all the wares we needed. The dogs also had nice plushy beds. The house layout is spacious and suited us really well. The outdoor dining chairs were comfy but would have been great if there were more lounge style seating; would have made cocktails on the deck perfect ;-). We were lucky with absolutely perfect weather and I got to enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails out on the deck. The neighborhood is chill and friendly. It’s short 3 min. walk to the public access waterfront. Next time I’ll make use of the bikes that were in the side of the house. Thanks for making the house available for others to enjoy!

What makes this property unique
This house was built by our family in the 1950's, and our mother was an accomplished weaver. Some of the rugs she wove are still in the house. Recently updated kitchen provides seating at the view windows facing the Sound and Mt Baker.
