About this property
Historic Morrison Mountain Home!
Welcome to our beautiful mountain oasis! Only 20 miles to Denver, yet it feels so remote! This unique home was originally built in 1936 and belonged to the Mayor of Denver. While it still holds some of it's historic charm (like the stone foundation or the outdoor bathtub!), it has been immaculately updated over the years. We absolutely love our mountain home and would love to share it with you! Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Morrison and our house has to offer.
Permit: 24-114442
This home is nestled into the side of the mountain and is around the corner from Mount Falcon Park. There are three bedrooms and a full bathroom (with soaking tub) in one wing of the house. There is another full bathroom up a unique, wood paneled spiral staircase in a loft above the kitchen. Enjoy the breath taking views from the dining and reading room which is lined with a wall of windows. Or cozy up on the couch in the living room also lined with windows. The trex decking wraps around the house and up to the loft. You will be amazed by the spacious layout!
While we hope that you enjoy our beautiful mountain living, we ask that you respect our house rules! Absolutely no smoking or fires are allowed. We are located in a densely wooded area and are at high risk for wild fires. Please make sure to keep our neighbors and property safe!
Other things to note:
The driveway is narrow, winding and a little steep! It is about a quarter mile long. Please take caution! We do plow in the winter which can take a little while. We will do our best to get you in and out during a storm but can’t guarantee anything with the crazy winter weather we get! They do plow highway 285 as well, but keep in mind this is the mountains. A four wheel drive is best!
Please remember our beautiful mountain home is in a densely wooded area. You will definitely see a lot of wildlife during your stay. While you may not always see them, mountain lions, bobcats and bears are around quite a bit. Be safe and smart and we know you will do your best to help preserve and protect our environment. There is absolutely no smoking or fires due to high wild fire risk.
