BUILT IN THE EARLY 1900’S BY THE BANK OF AMERICA FAMILY, THE FACILITY HAS SPACES FOR ALL TYPES OF EXPERIENCES REGARDLESS OF YOUR GROUP’S ITINERARY TO CREATE A SOCIAL, FRIENDLY, AND FUN ATMOSPHERE. THE VARIETY OF COMMON SPACES ON THE PROPERTY MAKES FOR THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT TO HOST EVENTS.
Inside the Retreat Center, there are private rooms with private or shared bathrooms, as well as dorm-style rooms with bunk beds. Very few properties exist that fit a large family and is animal friendly. Many sources of entertainment available for all ages.

Fantastic
This was perfect for our large family. There was lots of space for everyone and we enjoyed everything about the house. Heating tended to be a problem in the great room, but firewood was a solution.

Fabulous Giant House
We had so much fun here, and this place is perfect for (many) families with kids. Lots for them to do, a grand palace of a living room to hang and chat, and a pretty decent kitchen to cook in -- though bring some spices, utensils and large pots/pans of your own to supplement, the kitchen items were a little sparse. Location was so great and tons of parking. Manager was great.

Wonderful entertainment Lodge!!
We stayed here for the night before my wedding with our entire wedding party. The lodge was an amazing l, cozy space for all of us to hang out and enjoy each others company! We would love to stay here again!!

The cabin is very spacious. Overall, our group had fun, the kids had a blast just by playing billiards and using the hot tub. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer. Our host was very helpful, easy to transact business with, and answered all of my questions. We will for sure book this cabin again.

The location was great. The facility was mostly clean and the listing was pretty accurate.
The facility was nice, a bit dated, but a cool history. My students loved their experience having their ASB retreat there. The facilities were adequate. There were some electrical issues. The trash was already full when we arrived and the game room equipment was very old and falling apart. However, we did know what we were getting into and were not at all disappointed. There are some things that could be updated and cleaned a bit better, but other than that it was an awesome experience. The heater in the main space was not working the whole time we were there.

Unmaintained place!!
no hot water very old showers the place was super dusty everywhere not enough dishes to cook for a big group furniture smell like dog urine rat poop left under sofa located in game room food processor in kitchen out of order **definitely a place that I would not recommend** Manager is aware of all of the above and per our conversation he has notify that we would get a refund!

Great cabin to fit a big group
My family and I enjoyed staying at the Big Bear ITH. James and his associates were accommodating and answered all our questions. All rooms and bathrooms were cleaned. The game room was nice and kept us entertained. Backyard was big and a nice place to hang out in. My favorite was the front porch and great room. We were all there together and still had plenty of space. There were some lighting issues in the kitchen & 1 of the bathroom the light was too dim and hard to see when showering. Blinds on room 7 was broken, temperate on fridge wasn’t really cold 1st day and we had a lot of raw food but we managed. The shower handle in east wing kept coming off making it hard to turn the water off. Oh and their garbage bin outside property was full. We had no choice but to leave some inside the house so animals can’t mess with it. Overall, we had a great stay. It fit our whole family with still room. Place is nice but can fix a few things broken or missing here and there.

Big Bear 50th wedding reunion
We had 36 people at the lodge. It had beds for 28 and we used 4 blowups. There was plenty of room for the blowups. Make sure you bring your own bedding/pillows for blowups and bathroom towels for the people on blowups. One shower towel is provided for each person on a bed and a hand towel in each bathroom. Once you have your menu check with manger on what they have in kitchen. She was wonderful to work with. We loved every minute of our stay.

Large Family Vacation
This cabin is spacious, & we never felt overcrowded. The host was very responsive to answering all the questions I had prior to the trip. Although my cons outweigh the pros, my family & I made the best of the trip. Yoga was offered for free. The location of the cabin is close to many outdoor activities & shops. There is plenty of parking in front of the cabin. CONS: *The kitchen was EXTREMELY dirty & unclean. Dust & dirt everywhere. We had to spend money on cleaning products & time cleaning ourselves. We didn’t use any of the kitchen appliances because they were so disgusting from never being cleaned after guests leave. We shouldn’t be charged a cleaning fee when the place was definitely not cleaned prior to our arrival. *Multiple beds had dirty linen on them because there was dog hair everywhere on the beds. *Amenities state washer & dryer are available for use but fails to mention they are quarter operated. Some guests packed less clothes because they relied on utilizing the washer and dryer, but we’re unable to. Most stores will not exchange dollars for quarters because of the coin shortage, & when we messaged the host to ask for change, we were told someone won’t be able to exchange for quarters for 5 hours. The posting should state the washer & dryer are coin operated so that people can prepare ahead of time. *The amenities state there are enough towels, but there were not. *Not enough toilet paper provided & had to buy more in the middle of the night. *Refrigerator/freezer are very small for amount of occupancy this cabin can hold. The bottom drawers were cracked/broken, which made it unusable. The items in the refrigerator do not stay cold either. *There were many encounters with loose equipment such as: doorknobs, tables, bench chairs, AC in the window, & a few bunk beds. *Mice run throughout the cabin, which we did not expect. We understand that mountain mice are out of the host’s control, but it would be nice to have been informed prior to our trip or in the posting because we had a few family members who are terrified of mice and didn’t sleep because of this situation. *We could not open half of the windows in the main living room because there were no screens in the window, which caused bugs to fly in the short period of time we did open them. *Very large dog roams the property & will approach you. One family member is allergic to dogs, so she was on high alert as to where the dog was to prevent an allergic reaction.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Needed a large house for a large group of adults and kids and this was perfect. Everything we needed was already provided, the property had plenty to keep us all entertained, the owners were excellent about communication, location couldn't be better, and our group is already talking about coming back next summer. Absolutely would recommend!

Wonderful stay for a large group, pictures don’t do it justice this place had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend at the Lake! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to a return visit! The location was prime with the lake being so close and the bars walking distance also! It was awesome!
