Our Story…
Pierre-Yves, a 42-year-old Parisian Frenchman, for 20 years worked as a high-fashion designer with top brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, and Balenciaga. However, after turning 40 and in the wake of the pandemic, he felt the need to shift his lifestyle—seeking more balance, time for himself, and a deeper connection with nature, sunlight, tranquility, the ocean, and open space.
He had been visiting Santa Teresa for the past decade, falling in love with its unique energy and the vibrant international community of like-minded individuals who call it home. Soon enough, he purchased a plot of land -and luckily, just before the pandemic. Coincidently, 2 years ago (2022), he had made the decision to leave his urban, fast-paced life behind for good.
Pier personally designed and built his villa from the ground up, paying careful attention to lifestyle and creating spaces with distinct atmospheres. “I embraced strong color contrasts and natural materials to craft a cozy, rustic haven with a ‘vintage romantic’ feel.” The design features fluid, curving lines that harmonize with the breathtaking jungle and ocean views. “My goal was to create a peaceful, welcoming retreat—far from a flashy, in-your-face luxury villa, but rather a comfortable and soulful space with a unique vibe.”
From the interior design to the garden, every detail reflects his vision. Pi.casa is truly Pier’s baby and his masterpiece.
Alongside his design work, Pier is also an artist, and Santa Teresa has been an endless source of inspiration. He uses the villa as a personal gallery to showcase my work. The name Pi.casa is a nod to Picasso’s signature, combining “Pier” and “casa.” Therefore, any of the art pieces that you see in and around the home is open for sale. So if any of the unique designs speaks to you, feel free to inquire with your concierge for details.
