Historic Mill House
Original Historic Mill House located in Lexington & the Erlanger Mill Historic District. Features include hardwood floors and central air, living room with dedicated office space, fully stocked kitchen, dining area and a huge front porch. Bedrooms feature Queen Size beds. This home is Located in a walkable area with sidewalks leading to a small neighborhood park. Just a short drive to Uptown Lexington with shops and restaurants. You have to try Lexington’s famous BBQ!
The space
Experience history in this Historic Mill Community near Uptown Lexington. Built in 1913 this home once served factory workers and their families. In 2008 the community was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The property has been completely restored with modern touches while still retaining its charm and character. There is a large front porch perfect for sitting outside. The factory remains in operation so you will occasionally hear the sounds of American Ingenuity. The sidewalk lined streets with street lamps will light the path to a small park with walking trail, swings and more for the whole family.
In the home the original pine hardwood floors have been restored to provide a clean modern feel. The cozy living room has lots of windows that provide natural light and a ceiling fan. The pine floors flow into the 2 bedrooms featuring Queen size beds with closets and ceiling fans. The eat in kitchen is perfect for cooking and entertaining. You will love cooking with our newer black appliances including a stove, built-in microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The home is complete with a stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen and bathroom feature tile floors. The bathroom has a large tub with shower, sink vanity and toilet.
Remain comfortable year round with the central air system. The carport offers covered parking for 1 car with additional street parking. The spacious backyard is perfect for grilling and enjoying on summer afternoons.
Property features free premium wireless internet, a 55 inch smart TV, kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cooking utensils, basic kitchen supplies for cooking such as salt, pepper, oil, foil, and you’ll always find a few non perishable food items to get you by until you get settled in. There are a few baking pans in the bottom drawer of the oven. There is a coffee maker, filters, coffee and some condiments for you to use.
The bathroom offers bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and a few items ranging from band aids to soap and shampoo to get you started.
Our beds offer clean sheets and comfy pillows and will be all made up when you arrive.
Laundry will be a breeze with our stackable washer and dryer located in the bathroom. We have provided a few tide pods and dryer sheets for your convenience.
Throughout the home we have added special touches and commonly requested items like tooth picks and ink pens.
We take COVID very serious and have provided disinfectant wipes, sanitizing cleaner, antibacterial hand soap, and several name brand cleaning chemicals which we use to clean and sanitize the home to prepare for your arrival. We ask that you use these items to maintain a clean and safe environment. Since these items are sometimes difficult to source the inventory may vary. We ask you to be conservative in the use and application of these items so all our guests can enjoy them and maintain a safe environment.

Guest have full access to the home except one closet in the living room that is used for maintaining the home and the storage shed outside.
