Nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood, this charming 4-bedroom updated mid-century vibe home is the ideal retreat for families and friends.
It offers everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay. There is ample space for everyone to gather, whether around the fireplace, deck, spacious living areas, or fire pit. There are four bedrooms, including a primary suite with an en suite bathroom.
The half-acre lot provides many areas to relax and enjoy and is a 7-minute drive to Birmingham.
This entire 2-story house and property are yours to enjoy.
Use it as a central location to visit the many beautiful places Metro Detroit offers. We are close to several grocery stores (including high-end), excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and expressways.
We are close to Oakland Hills Country Club golf course if you are a golfer, M1 Concourse if you like race tracks, and downtown Birmingham if you enjoy shopping or are a foodie.
Downtown Detroit is a 20-minute drive, and Ferndale and Royal Oak are less than that.
BEDROOMS
There are four bedrooms, including a primary suite with a king-size bed, an en suite bathroom, a walk-in closet, a desk, and a TV.
All the bedrooms are on the second floor. The smallest bedroom has a high-end sofa bed; we leave linens in the closet if you choose to use it. The other bedrooms have a queen-sized bed in one and two full-sized beds in the other.
EATING AREAS
There are two 6-person seating areas inside for eating: one in the kitchen and the other in the front room, which has a Smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic cooking supplies.
FIREPLACE
There is a natural fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. Sticks and one bundle of firewood are also available on the property.
OUTSIDE AREA
The front patio and back deck are great places to sit, relax, and enjoy the outside air.
There is a large deck that extends from the back family room. It has a vintage/distressed look, but we have an outdoor rug, a couch, and wrought iron furniture to make it less noticeable. We plan to paint it this spring.
We also have a fire pit area in the backyard for you to use.
There is enough parking for four cars in the driveway, and two vehicles can be parked alongside the driveway on the wood chips.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
A gardener will come out weekly from Spring to Fall to work on the flower beds. They will only need access to the garage, which is locked from the house. We will alert you ahead of time so you are aware.
We also have the lawn cut twice a month. This does not require access to the garage.
In the winter, we have snow removal when there is 2 inches or more snow. Please park to the left of the driveway to allow for snow removal on the driveway. They will also shovel the front walkway.
LONG TERM RENTALS
If you desire to rent for more than 30 days, we will require you to sign a short-term rental agreement.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Complimentary WI-FI and a washer/dryer are provided.
There are three TVs: two on the first floor and one in the primary suite on the second floor. They are connected to WIFI and allow you to access your subscriptions and apps.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but no laundry detergent or dryer sheets.
You do not have access to the garage or basement.
Enjoy an easy check-in experience with a keyless Yale Smart lock. You can check -in after 4:00 pm. If you'd like an early check-in, message us before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, we can give you an earlier time.
HOUSE RULES
We love hosting guests and our fabulous neighbors, so we ask that you be as respectful as possible by following a few house rules.
No parties or events. No more than 10 people on the property or in the house at one time.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
We ask that you not wear your shoes on the second floor.
No pets, as we want to respect our guests' allergies.
No smoking inside the house. If you smoke outside, we ask that you pick up any remnants.
Parking for trailers, RVs, and boats is prohibited.
