About this property

Creekside Cottage - Historic Cottage w. Water View

Welcome to The Creekside Cottage. The historic cottage was originally built in 1940. It has been newly renovated (2022). Located on a private one-and-a-half-acre lot in between downtown Helen, Ga and Unicoi Sate Park. This One-of-A-Kind home pays homage to its heritage while sparing no expense providing the finest finishes to offer a wonderful vacation experience.
The Creekside Cottage is surrounded by mature trees, mountain laurels and the sights and sounds of a mountain stream.

The Creekside Cottage is a mix of rustic, modern, and farmhouse. You will have the entire spacious home and private grounds to yourself. The stunning cottage offers two bedrooms, one bath, a well equipped kitchen, and living room with all the comforts of home. In addition to the cozy spaces inside you will find a large deck and path to a 6-person hot tub in a purpose-built gazebo. Additionally, the property offers a picturesque mountain stream that can be heard from anywhere on the property.

Upon arrival you will take the stairs to the front deck that leads to the entry door. You will enter the cottage through the living room and immediately be met with a hand-built hall tree crafted with locally milled wood. You will continue to find handmade furnishings throughout the home that have been sourced from local businesses.

In the living room we have an array of couches and chairs to relax and unwind from a busy day exploring. Both couches make into beds. Our fireplace is original to the home from the 1940s and has been converted to gas logs. Entertainment includes a large, wall-mounted flat screen TV with Roku (which offers music, movies or your favorite TV show). Please bring your login information to access your favorite streaming application.

The kitchen has all new black stainless-steel appliances including a full-size refrigerator, with automatic ice and filtered water, a full-size gas range, microwave, dishwasher, stacked washer and dryer and a drip coffee station.  The kitchen includes a hand-crafted wood slab table and provides plenty of storage for food and supplies.  The kitchen is also equipped with dinnerware, glassware (including wine glasses), cooking utensils, silverware, pots and pans, serving bowls, and a wide variety of other kitchen essentials.

The exterior door located between the washer/dryer combo and dishwasher leads you to the side deck where you will find a gas grill.

In the master bedroom you will enjoy the space and comfort of a king-size Casper Mattress. You will find an antique desk to use if you need to get some work done. The room has a chest of drawers and closet space to make it your own.

The master/guest bath is one of a kind. You will experience the spa feel in the custom walk-in shower with a “rain head’ shower head, one sink, and plenty of hooks to hang your towels. The bathroom has small touches like the live edge shelves and custom tile.

The guest bedroom provides a Queen Casper Memory Foam Mattress and hand-crafted live edge headboard. In the guest bedroom the closet is used to store replacement items and cleaning supplies---it will not be available to the guest.

Upon exiting the cottage, you can take in what The Creekside Cottage property has to offer. You will notice nature drawing you in all directions. To the left side of the house, you will find a path that leads you to the most amazing hot tub experience with the comfort of year-round use and the feel of being in nature. Our 6-person hot tub is in a purpose-built cottage of its own. You can enjoy the hot tub rain or shine while still enjoying the beautiful scenery the property provides.

Head down to the creek where you will find a large fire pit area with chairs provided. Build a fire, grab a drink and let the running mountain stream help you forget your worries!

Recently added Garden Dome!  Enjoy this unique outdoor feature with friends & family. Use the handy remote to operate the beautiful multi-colored light strings. Cozy sofa provided and large area rug. Have fun & good times in your own private outdoor igloo!

We hope you see the care and thought we have crafted and woven into every inch of the cottage to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. We are so excited to share it with you.

Guest access
The Creekside Cottage is located on a private lot with a private driveway. You will have access to the entire home and grounds including the HOT TUB!

Great Place

Everything about this place was great. The only thing I found different from most rentals is that there was no kitchen supplies. Misc items like salt and pepper, seasonings, cooking spray, additional garbage bags or soap. Besides that this is the perfect home. RemodeledAnd very nice. Outside of the home had everything you need.. Definitely recommend this home.

Clean little house with hot tub

I was able to get a hold of the property manager at 7pm when the front door lock didn't work. They replaced it the next day. There's two bedrooms with a queen and king bed and two sofas in the living room. Plenty of room for a family of four. We utilized the hot tub and the firepit. The house is about 5 minutes from Helen and also close to Ruby Falls. Everything in the house seemed to be recently remodeled. Plenty of parking in the gravel driveway.
