Lovely stay!!!
I fully enjoyed my stay at Amedeo's apartment in Monterosso. As advertised the apartment is within 3-4 minutes walk to the beautiful beach of Monterosso where the hiking trail to Levanto starts. The train station is within 5-7 minutes walk too so the location is very convenient. The apartment is airy and bright, clean and equipped with all the basics including utensils in the kitchen. . Amedeo was very friendly and kind in communication throughtout from the booking to departure. 5 star accommodation and highly recommended to anyone visiting Monterosso.

Great place to stay for beach lovers
This apartment was only about 15 minutes From the train station, up a hill, of course. The apartment was well furnished. Unfortunately, for us, all of Italy was in the midst of a heat wave, and there was no air conditioning in the apartment. I would go back to this place, though, as it was handy to the beach, well furnished, nice living room with TV, Internet. Would be perfect for hikers, or just enjoying Cinque Terre. No elevator so would not be good for people with disabilities.

Great vacation!
We had a nice stay at this rental. I would love to stay for a week if I could. It is a nice location and we felt we were in a friendly place. Isolta was so sweet and checked us in and even helped with a dinner reservation. We did have trouble with our cell phones here so we couldn't get a hold of them to ask for a few needed items. Other than that we had a nice stay! My only suggestion is that they could use a few more towels, we only had 2 for 4 guest to share. Also there wasn't any toilet paper for the bathroom. I don't know if this is a cultural thing or not but we did have it everywhere else we went so we were surprised when there wasn't any. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return.

Great apartment in Monterosso!
My family and I stayed here for 4 days during a 2-week trip to Italy. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome, rushing to the apartment when we arrived earlier than planned. The apartment is two floors, with two bedrooms and the only bath upstairs. Downstairs has a nicely sized living room, eat-in kitchen, and a pantry with a washing machine. (Great for minimizing your packing!) No AC in the apartment, but as it was about 100m from the ocean it didn't matter. Nice breeze all the time. Only negative is the apartment located in the "newer" section of town, but the better restaurants are in the older section. At most a 10 minute walk away, so no big deal. A very cool outdoor movie theater is close by, and we were tempted to watch Godzilla in Italian. Avoid the restaurant closest to the apartment. It was a tourist trap disaster. Beaches are great, but if you want to be on the better (read: private) beach areas, be prepared to rent chairs and umbrellas. The beach the fathest from the apartment was amazing. This would be a great rental for a family! You do not need a car in Cinque Terre, and would likely be better off without one.

Great location and Lots of room but very hot!
The apartment was big and had all the listed amenities. Check in and communication was excellent. We stayed during some of the hottest and humid weather and found it difficult to sleep at night. There was no breeze even if you opened the windows at night. Not sure if that is because of the building location (blocked by other buildings or lack of wind in area) the apartments right on the beach would get some breeze at night but not much. I’ve read on other reviews about the train noise but I don’t think it would be any less in any other hotel/apartment so I can’t say that is a negative. Just something you have to deal with if staying in Monterosso or other Cinque Terre towns (they are all small and close to the train station). Monterosso definitely has the most nightlife and restaurants and biggest beach so enjoy a day at the beautiful beach just steps away. Overall a 4 star rating just due to the difficulty of sleeping due to the stagnant hot air night. Would be a five star if it had air conditioning and it was lacking in basic cooking needs (salt and oil specifically). Wifi speed was 1.5 mbps download at best so could do only limited things no video streaming (pretty typical of small remote towns in Italy). Thanks to Amedeo for being a great communicator.

Great apartment in Monterosso!
We spent six nights in Monterosso and really enjoyed the apartment. We liked the fact it was outside of the main street and tucked far enough back to have privacy and a quiet environment. The host was very responsive and answered our questions very quickly. We would highly recommend this apartment!

Great apartment to take in CinqueTerra
We enjoyed the apartment - very clean, well lit, loved the high ceilings and the quaint porch on both floors. Great option for a family with separate bedrooms on 2nd floor. Good location - short walk up from the beach; apartment is located at the North end of town. Very helpful owner - very responsive to any questions that arose during the stay. Very accessible to beach and train station. Noise wasn't too bad - it is located across the street from the rail line but not too disruptive.

Decent but not great
Being a resort town in high season, I understand the price per night. However, the walls in the unit were not insulated and noise from the near by train and surrounding residents was bothersome. Also, the pictures online are a little deceiving. Most furniture in the unit was very worn and outdated and beds/ bed sheets left a lot to be desired. Hot water for the shower was also hit or miss. On the bright side, the unit was a short walk to the train station and the beach.

Great place to stay in the Cinque Terra
Great place to stay. Easy walk to the public beach for a swim. Great restaurants a walk away. Hidden back in a neighborhood, your hear the train but it's not bad. We had trouble with the hot water but it mostly worked. Sleeping was good for 4 people but uncomfortable for the other 2. We were 6 persons. I would stay there again, it's hard with six people. Not a lot to choose from.

Recommend
This was such a great location for my family. There was 5 of us, all adults. It felt like a home away from home. Amedeo was always very quick in his response and his assistant Oliver was there to show us all the essentials and quick in his responses as well. It was well equipped with all the necessities. We had s very enjoyable time there, swimming, hiking and it was a very quite location yet close to everything. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again and again if I was so lucky yo be able to travel there again. I would only add one comment that would be a slight negative and that would be the mattresses could be of better quality and could be more comfortable than they were. But a small price to pay for the overall experience.

Nice apartment, but seems too expensive
Communication was good and hosts were flexible. Location is nice as it's away from the busy street, yet easy access to the beach and shops in the new-town. There is one parking spot for a small-ish car. However, we had some issues. The shower head sprays everywhere but down, so we mostly held the one from the tub controls. The internet was hit or miss. Seems it would drop out for no reason. There appears to be no heat or A/C in the apartment, which presents a bit of a problem when it's cool outside and especially when traveling with children. There was a small portable heater left in the apartment, which we had to shuffle from room to room. My guess is the apartment would drop down into the mid-50's at night. Too cold for small children who don't understand sleeping under covers. Removing the trash and recycle is the tenants responsibility. Which is something I don't mind doing, but we stayed in 3 other apartments while in Italy and this was significantly more expensive than the others and provided the least comfort and ammenities. Kitchen was adequate for cooking simple meals. Beds were typical hard European affair. I would consider staying here again when the weather was warmer and if I couldn't find something less expensive.

4/10 Poor

Cinque Terre
We travelled 6 weeks with another couple in Europe. We stayed in 9 places and this is the only one we were unhappy with. It felt old and tired. It was clean at least and the location is fine but that is about all we can say good about it. Dark, no dishwasher which is fine but not dishtowels supplied either! Poor lighting, shower was pathetic, walls need paint. If owner put some TLC into it it'd be fine but would not recommend this place at all.

Great access to a great town
My husband and I and our 3 young-adult sons thoroughly enjoyed Monterossa, and this property was close to all one would need for a lovely time. The supermarket was close-by and allowed us to eat at home to save some money, but we also had a delicious meal in the welcoming town. Hiking the trails, then training to the last town and taking the boat back was all we could have wanted. Swimming in the sea was marvelous! A wonderful stay!

Perfect for families
My husband and I, our son and his wife, and their daughter, ages 4, stayed for a week at Casa Manu and had a wonderful time. If you are traveling to Cinque Terre -- this place is PERFECT! It is few steps away from the best beach. It is the first of the five towns which made for the perfect hiking day. We trained to the end and hiked back to Monterosso. There are tons the great restaurants within a few blocks as well as the train station for easy travel. The property has a full kitchen and plenty of space, perfect for a families. Wish we could return soon, this is one of the best places to stay in Cinque Terre!

Huge apartment!!!!
Stayed for 3 nights with my wife ,mother and 2 kids . This place was perfect in every way: Very spacious rooms, full bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen for all our cooking needs. Loved the location near the sea with the balcony for us to sit, perfect way to start and finish every day. It was so nice to have a washing machine, as we stayed here in the middle part of our vacation. Isotta was so helpful with information of the area. This was our favourite place we stayed in all of Italy. Thanks so much, and if we ever make it back to the area, we will certainly want to stay here again.

At Home in Monterosso al Mare, Italy
The apartment is spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equipped except for a coffee maker! (Not everyone is a fan of espresso!) It takes 10-15 minutes to go from the train station to the apartment, but it's close to the beach and there is a grocery store and several places to eat nearby. We had trouble operating the washing machine and, without a phone, were unable to contact the liason. We didn't plan to watch TV which was good as there are no English stations!

Apartment near a beach
Huge apartment! Great for a group of friends and family, of course. Because we ate out all the time, we didn't use the kitchen, but there was some coffee and supplies, which was great! The sofa bed, being what it is, was not that comfortable, but we made do Great location of course, and if you can live with the noise of the train, then an excellent choice. It was hard to find because of the strange roads and lack of street signs, so a better map on the site would be great (we drove in) Poor Isotta waited 2 hrs because the telephone # we were given was wrong and she didn't get our text. She was very gracious though. Would recommend this apt for sure

relaxing stay in Monterosso
Recently rented the apartment for a 3 night stay in Monterosso. Everything was delightful. Daniella, our hostess, was full of information about the town and the surrounding area. She was extremely helpful, and her suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and travel destinations were all spot on. The apt. is spacious and full of nice amenities...the kitchen was stocked with many extras...including coffee, which was a nice treat for our first morning! Everything was spotlessly clean, and we were very comfortable during our stay. Only negative is that there is no view of the ocean...but there is a nice view of the mountains! I would recommend this apt., esp. for a longer stay, as it very spacious and well equipped....everything from beach towels and grocery bags, to laundry and soap!...thank you for a lovely stay!

Great Monterosso vacation!!!
We couldn't have been happier in our Monterosso home away from home. We were pleasantly surprised at all the comforts and amenities that made us feel completely at home, except in that fabulous location. Our host Daniella was very helpful and informative and never seemed too busy to help us out. She was always gracious and happy help with recommendations for dining and things to do which we all enjoyed. The apartment was extremely spacious for the three of us and was equipped with everything we couldl need and more! We loved the location and the proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants. The train station was also close by. The privacy and restfulness of the location was especially appreciated in that we had been traveling around Italy alot and to find this peaceful spot was welcome. I would totally recommend this property for couples, families for anyone. I was traveling with my elderly parents who can be a challenge to please, and yet they loved it and would go back again.

Highly recommended
We had a great time in the Cinque Terre, thanks in part to this lovely apartment. Daniella was great to deal with, with great communication as we planned our trip. When we arrived, she met us, and walked us to the property, showed us around, and gave us suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The property has everything that most people would need for their stay, and is conveniently located - close to the beach, the train station, and other activities. We were two couples vacationing together, and there was plenty of room for us, with each having our own bedroom. This property would also work great for a family with children. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Everything you need and more
We stayed here for a week in June and found it absolutely delightful. Daniella was most helpful in all her communications and treated us like a friend upon our arrival as well as her orientation regarding things to do. Take the private boat tour she recommends, it was a highlight of our trip. The apartment was immaculate, well-appointed and very comfortable. It was also quiet and we loved being in a real neighborhood instead of in the middle of all the tourists. The beach is just a few minute walk and all else is convenient. We would stay here again only for a longer period of time.

As an Italian-American living in this beautiful place I can offer you a unique perspective of how to get the most out of your trip here.

Why they chose this property

This property offers so much. It's much more roomy than other
apartments for rent. It offers most modern conveniences, yet
still has charm. The location is quiet yet close to everything you'd
want or need.
