About this property

Spectacular 3 bedroom mountain home with forest views close to downtown!

If you’ve never been to Prescott, you’re in for a special treat! Its darling, historic downtown always has something fun going on: the wonderful Whiskey Row with live music in nearly every venue just about every day of the week, antique stores and darling shops, great restaurants, summer concerts and street fairs, and best of all, as Arizona’s Christmas City, it ushers in the miraculous season with a moving presentation of the first Christmas by our wonderful Mayor accompanied by a choir of students just before the courthouse square is stunningly lit up with thousands of colorful lights.. A super unique event is "Acker Night", which takes place the second Friday of December. On this night, downtown stores stay open late and each hosts talented musicians who raise money for music scholarships. I would be remiss not to mention the fantastic “Boot Drop” on New Year's Eve where hundreds gather on Whiskey Row, warm themselves near fire pits, and dance to live music in all the venues and on the bandstand on the main the street.
Prescott is home to several small lakes where you are able to hike, fish, picnic, kayak and even see glorious bald Eagles! The amazing Granite Dells, surrounding Watson Lake, are a sight not to be missed. One of the best lakes, Goldwater Lake, is just 1 mile away from our mountain home.
Your Prescott getaway will begin at our gorgeous, newly renovated, 3-bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom solid stone clad home that boasts soaring ceilings and stunning forest views from every window!
Upon entry you’ll enjoy a drop zone for coats and shoes, a large open floor plan kitchen/living room with a huge granite countertop island, beautiful gas fireplace surrounded by natural slate tile, a dry bar with wine fridge as well as a secret butler’s pantry containing a stacked washer/dryer and beautiful powder room.
The ample and luxurious main and guest bedrooms each have super comfy queen beds and the office has an inflatable double sofa bed. On the patio, outside of the living room, you’ll enjoy seating, a gas fire pit and gas BBQ allowing even greater enjoyment of a serene wooded area and seasonal creek. Outside of the main bedroom is another deck where you can enjoy morning coffee, and the serenity of nature.
This unique property, new to the vacation rental market, provides a lavish retreat for our guests! Although only a 10 minute drive to the lovely, historic downtown, during the winter months, the roads can get a bit icy so we recommend cars with FWD, AWD, or 4x4. The house is equipped with AC, High Speed Internet, and ceiling fans in all three bedrooms. The two main bedrooms and living room all have SMART TVs. The exquisite main bedroom has a fabulous en suite bathroom with huge shower and walk-in closet which lends itself beautifully for extended stays.
The home is perfect for a family of 4-5, a group of friends who are able to work from home, travel nurses working at the same location, or those in between or renovating homes.
Due to a steep hill behind the house, children must be at least 12 years of age.
We are unable to accommodate indoor smoking of any kind.
There are security cameras that cover outdoor areas.
A small dog/service animal will be considered for an additional non refundable fee of $5 per night however, the house has not had any pets stay as of March 2025.
A required mid stay cleaning is included for 1 month stays. An additional $200 a month fee will be added for stays over 1 month and is required in order to maintain the property to our high standards. Additional discounts will be considered for stays exceeding 1 month,
Only registered guests are welcome to stay overnight at the property. No other over night guests are allowed. Gatherings with outside guests are prohibited unless advanced written permission is granted. Removal of shoes inside the house is greatly appreciated and encouraged.
We've heard time and again that the pictures don't do it justice. We hope that you choose our fabulous home. You'll be so glad you did!

My husband, Joe and I moved to Prescott 3 1/2 years ago and bought this house with the intention to renovate it so that we could live in it ourselves. Unfortunately, we faced many obstacles that caused lengthy delays, so we decided to purchase another home nearby. Upon our gorgeous home's completion, instead of selling it, we decided to offer to others as a vacation rental property. My husband and I both did much of the renovation projects ourselves and are super proud of the result that makes this home a very special place that we hope visitors will share cherished moments and beautiful memories in for days and years to come.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I chose this neighborhood because of the incredibly beautiful and private setting and its close proximity to Prescott's historic downtown.

What makes this property unique

Everything about this stone-clad home is unique! The property itself is 2/3 of an acre with scarce a neighbor to be seen and even has peach, walnut, and apple trees as well as blackberry bushes on it. It is set among the pines, has a seasonal creek and a solid stone ranging from 12 to 16 inches in thickness German smeared exterior. The builder was a popular mason in town who also erected several Prescott monuments. The interior was built with upper and lower floors, but since the ceilings were only about 7' high, we made the decision to completely remove the second floor and enable that space to be fully open. The open floor plan living room/kitchen boasts two gorgeous beams that add to the grandeur of the experience. It also has a huge slate fireplace that creates a cozy space for chilly evenings. Everywhere you turn in our very special and stunning home you will find something that will allow you to feel spoiled and relaxed.
