There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with heated floors. We've also got two other VRBO homes on the property (The Knotty Oak - Sugar Pine Cabin) with 3 bedrooms (sleeps 7) and The Knotty Oak Schoolhouse 5 bedroom (sleeps 10) if you need more space. We do weddings & retreats under separate contract - check us out!

The Knotty Oak complex and is spacious, warm, inviting, colorful original Anderson Valley homestead, and has unique art and local history incorporated into the meticulous renovation we did. We love celebrating the quirky and unique history Anderson Valley has.

The bedrooms are outfitted with Eddie Bauer camp theme sheets (adorable!) , firm and soft pillows, comforters, extra blankets, and soft lighting when needed.

The kitchen is a cook's dream with:
Viking 6 Burner Range w griddle-tons of BTU's
Thermador individual fridge & freezer columns
GE Profile Nugget Ice Maker (great for cocktails!)
Viking wine fridge
Cuisinart Toaster
Waffle iron (with waffle mix and real maple syrup!)
Microwave
Bosch dishwasher
Black & Decker Stainless Thermal Carafe coffee maker
Starbucks coffee packets
Bodum electric kettle with an assortment of teas.
Separate large pantry area with farm sink in addition to main sink, great for entertaining.

It's a great kitchen for catering and chef's classes or demo's. It's huge and so easy to work in.

There's also a large wood deck off the French doors in the dining room for outdoor hanging out with a table and hammock. Sometimes there are deer walking thru the yard! There's also an enamel drink cooler outside to keep wine and drinks cold while you're enjoying the outdoors. There is a Weber BBQ and a gas 36" flattop griddle.

The Homestead has custom appointments, mid century furniture and antiques, and lots of quirky touches like colorful yardsticks as accents, a Jackalope, and cool artwork. The wifi is really robust.

There's a vintage faux fireplace in the living room for some instantly cozy ambience that turns on with the flick of a switch and even makes fake crackles. There is a fab multi speaker bluetooth stereo inside and out.

Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with Malin + Goetz bath and shower products and makeup remover towels. Each bathroom has a huge shower, plus one of the downstairs bathrooms has a Clawfoot bathtub and the heated floors in each bathroom are so nice!

There is a 110 EV car hookup available if you have an electric car. Please let us know in advance if you will need it.

The gardens on the property are just stunning and lots of shady spots to hang out in.

We did a full multi year restoration of the house and people have been loving it. We hope you do too!

We provide a welcome bottle of wine, and refreshments in the fridge as well as some snacks.

Please note it is no smoking, and most dogs are ok with prior approval for a fee of $100 per pet.

There is normally a two-night minimum but sometimes we can be flexible on that so send a message if you only need one night.

We have two other VRBO homes on the property: The Knotty Oak - Sugar Pine Cabin with 3 more bedrooms, and 5 bedroom The Knotty Oak - Schoolhouse. All together we have

We love to host private groups and weddings & events so please reach out for quotes on those events. (Events are not allowed on the property without a separate contract and insurance.)

Great family or group stay...great venue if hosting a small event.

We stayed in the main house .. my hubby and I plus my brother in law, his wife and three kids. We hosted a family dinner on our first night and the chefs kitchen was amazing for my hubby who loves to cook. Main house was air conditioned on one of the hottest weekends so great. So many interesting things to see and enjoy. Each room has an en suite bathroom which is great for privacy and comfort. Mary is great about about sharing info and keeping you informed. Not cheap but so many amenities and convenience it made or weekend perfect.
