Wedding
We were in town for a wedding. Our first trip to Tennessee. We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. The owners checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. Extremely friendly and the location was perfect. Just a few miles from the center of everything but it felt very private and peaceful. We definitely want to make a trip to return!

We are fortunate to be able to share five (5) very special places that offer five (5) different Smoky Mountain experiences and which we personally enjoy in Gatlinburg, near Dollywood and just off the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg Pigeon River Spur. We are the owners and not a management company and we are blessed knowing wonderful people for over 10 years who help us with cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and solving any issues or challenges that may arise. We work together to keep our cabins in excellent condition!

Black Beary Creek Cabin is one of these magical places. It is newly renovated and redesigned mountain home with a screened patio and a covered front porch that sits along a creek that flows down to the Little Pigeon River. We call it Black Beary Creek partially for its decor, partially for the blackberry bushes running up the hillside, and partially for the occasional visitors.

Black Beary Creek is yours alone during your stay. We will make arrangements for your stay and you will not see nor hear from us unless it is your desire. When you do contact us, we do our very best to be accessible and responsive from the time you book with us throughout your stay with ideas and recommendations to enjoy what Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park have to offer and to address any needs or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time prior to or during your stay.

We hope you choose to arrange a stay at Black Beary Creek - and please let us know if you encounter anything that may distract you from fully enjoying your stay - we want to provide an opportunity for you to enjoy Mountain Springs Chalet as we do.

Why they chose this property

Black Beary Creek Cabin is conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge just off the GSMNP Pigeon River Parkway spur (US441/US321). We chose Black Beary Creek for its location along a beautiful creek close and convenient to Downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, but quiet and peaceful.

Black Beary Creek is a modern and very private cabin with an excellent location offering a peaceful rural mountain atmosphere, its connection with the historic Banner Church community, and its proximity to the Little Pigeon River. It is about an equal distance to either downtown Gatlinburg or downtown Pigeon Forge or Dollywood or the Great Smoky Mountain National Park sitting along a short, quiet and picturesque mountain road, up from the Little Pigeon River (i.e. GSMNP Pigeon River Spur), that leads to branches to the other side of Gatlinburg and comes to an end a little way down the road. So very close to everything, yet offering a quiet and secluded retreat at the end of the day.

What makes this property unique

We hope you will also appreciate this mountain home as we do when we regularly stay at Black Beary Creek. It sits on a rocky surface by a hillside with large boulder-sized rock outcroppings on either side of the cabin. The creek usually runs fast and we enjoy sitting on the covered front porch or inside the screened-in patio and listening to its flows, doing various things while protected from the sun, rain or other weather conditions/. It feels large for a cozy cabin.

It is close to all the major attractions in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Wel aso enjoy returning to Black Beary Creek's seclusion, peacefulness and feeling of being tucked away in the mountains.

We sometimes drive down the road and park close to the Little Pigeon River to enjoy this larger water flow. It is stocked with rainbow trout (TN fishing license required). which are released upstream at the hatchery at Herbert Holt Park - catching is pretty good near that location as well. Otherwise, we enjoy playing table games inside the screened-in porch, a campfire in the fire pit, relaxing by the fireplace, and enjoy preparing a home-cooked meal in the kitchen. It is a comfortable cabin and very convenient for your stay in the mountains.
