Homecoming Weekend
This past weekend my family and I attended Providence College Homecoming Weekend. We decided to try a VRBO rather than a traditional hotel accommodation. We are so happy we did! This home is absolutely lovely, beautifully furnished, very comfortable, plenty of room, extremely clean with every amenity and more. The host was very accommodating in every regard. We highly recommend this amazing home for anyone looking to enjoy Providence and a good time.

Modern & Cozy too
Beautiful property - rare find to be both modern and yet cozy/welcoming. Lots of fun areas - really enjoyed the pool table/basement and the firepit. Very convenient, great host Maribeth who went above and beyond to accommodate.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi - Maribeth and Drew here! We spent the past year pouring our hearts into renovating this home. Born and raised in RI, we want others to explore all that Rhode Island has to offer and have a comfortable home that puts you in the center of it all. I am an event planner and happy to offer additional help in ensuring you are making the most of your stay. Drew is an independent contractor that picked out every detail of our Observatory home, with an eye toward entertaining, outdoor enjoyment, and child/pet friendly spaces.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in this neighborhood for the past 8 years. Our previous home was six blocks away, and our love for this neighborhood has kept us firmly rooted here. Everything you need is within walking distance: shops, restaurants, and parks.

What makes this property unique

We live on a quiet street with minimal traffic. Our next door neighbor is the Ladd Observatory. Owned by Brown University, the grounds are open to the public and park-like setting. It is a quiet, beautifully maintained public property with mature plantings and an historic main building. The Observatory building is also open to the public on Tuesday nights, and offers a unique experience for both new and experienced astronomers.
