Cleaning Crew Arrived at Time of Check In
I want to start off by fairly stating the property itself was newly renovated and the location was good. Easy access to the metro or a 20 min Uber ride into downtown Boston. Possibly because it's a new listing, the amenities were quite sparse. For example, not enough mugs for a group of 6, no salt/pepper or oil for cooking, etc.
Also be prepared to walk up 2 flights of stairs after walking in the front door, to get to the main entrance of the place.
The reason we're rating this listing lower, is because our biggest issue & flag was with check in and communication with the owner. Our check in was at 3pm. 2 people from our group got the time mixed up and came in a little bit early and the place was not cleaned (100% understandable since they arrived before check in time). BUT the cleaning crew did not arrive until our actual check in time, at 3pm. They were there cleaning until 4:30pm (1.5 hrs past check in), so my group had to sit on the couch while waiting for the space to be cleaned up. After they left, there were still towels left in the washer, so we transferred them to the dryer to dry, and some of the towels folded on the rack were also still slightly damp. This was super disheartening experience for part of my group since they were hoping to get rest after their red-eye.
I had then reached out to the owner to discuss remediation / compensation for us not being able to experience 1.5 hrs of our stay and they stopped responding to me, even after follow up messages.
