About this property
Historic Charm: 117 Year-Old Bakery Building
Built in 1906, this former bakery has three modern apartments and is located in Barelas -- Albuquerque's oldest neighborhood. The central location is ten minutes from the airport and just half a mile from Central Avenue and all the attractions of Downtown. The Rio Grande is also just minutes away.
Apartment B is the middle unit in the building. It has a very cozy feel with tall wood ceilings and other historic touches. It's a perfect spot for a couple or solo traveler, with plenty of room for working, dining, and lounging. Dogs and children welcome!
The entire apartments is yours during your stay. Feel free to use the entryway for bike/ski storage.
My phone is sometimes on do not disturb if I'm in meetings or sleeping. Please call twice in a row to get through for emergencies.
Barelas is Albuquerque's oldest neighborhood and even pre-dates the city. Many homes have been in families for generations. And, the famous Barelas Coffee House is right around the corner. It is a quiet neighborhood, but is also just blocks from the hustle and bustle of Downtown and all the trails and parks that line the Rio Grande.
Parking is plentiful right in front of the building along 3rd Street. Getting to I-25 is super easy via Cesar Chavez, which is just south of the building. Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) is a quick way to get around the Central Avenue corridor. The Barelas stop is right in front of Boese Brewing, at 6th & Gold. The Downtown Transit Center is at 1st and Central. From there, you can take any of the city buses or get on the Rail Runner to Santa Fe. Lyft and Uber cars are plentiful and usually arrive quickly in Barelas and Downtown. The Paseo del Bosque bike trail is less than a mile from apartment and is a great way to get around the city via bicycle.
