About this property
Hudson upstairs suite - The Mohawk Valley House
Summary:
This majestic inn was built in 1817 and has been restored into the perfect accommodation for those looking for a truly unique and incomparable experience.
With four spacious suites with full baths, small table, and coffee station. Access to a full kitchen and laundry room. The Mohock inn will add a delightful charm to your event.
Whether it be a family reunion, business retreat or ladies night out! Please come experience this tranquil and inspiring atmosphere!
The Space:
Originally built in 1817 in Schoharie, New York, we dismantled and moved the inn to Texas in 2020. Built in Dutch New York in a style dating back to the late 1600’s in New England and known as a “center hall colonial”, our inn features Dutch-style framing with exposed heavy, hand-hewn beams and wide pine floors,. We rebuilt the Inn with a Southwest “Territorial: style” to fit in with the surrounding buildings and decorated each of the four suites in a different New York theme: The Catskill, The Adirondack, The Eire Canal and The Hudson.
*As seen on TV on the Magnolia Network’s "Restoration Road with Clint Harp" show.
Guest Access:
A private, spacious suite, full bath, small refrigerator, small table and coffee station.
You will also have access to a full kitchen and laundry room.
The Neighborhood:
Just a 12-minute drive from downtown Waco, the Inn is nestled amid flowers, vegetable gardens and fruit trees next to Heritage Coffee Shop and Brazos Valley Cheese, makers of award-winning artisan cheeses. A short walk down the lane you will find the Homestead Traditional Craft Village featuring working craft shops, a 1760 grist mill, the Plowshare Craft School as well as Café Homestead, (voted the #1 place to eat in Waco.)
Getting Around:
A car will be the quickest and easiest mode of transportation. Plenty of parking space makes for easy access to the inn. There are, however, foot paths for bicyclist if you enjoy getting out.
Other Things to Note:
This room requires climbing stairs.
Interaction with Guests:
We are just around the corner if you need anything.
