About this property

Sleeping Bear Riverside Cabins - Cabin #2

This cozy cabin in Northern Michigan features one bedroom and can accommodate up to five guests. One queen bed and a twin bed are in the bedroom and a futon in the living room. Enjoy a well-equipped kitchen with basic cookware and dining utensils, a full bathroom, and amenities like Wi-Fi and a live-streaming TV. Located along the Platte River, guests have shared access to two riverfront decks, a bonfire ring, a propane grill, and a picnic table.

Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stovetop, oven, sink, cabinets, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster.

Resort Overview: Sleeping Bear Riverside Cabins comprises five traditional Northern Michigan cabins, each with modern conveniences, situated right off US-31, with the river to the south offering stunning natural beauty and water activities.
• Cabin #1: The largest cabin is located in a standalone building.
• Cabins #2 and #3: Private units in a duplex.
• Cabins #4 and #5: Also private, in another duplex, slightly smaller but closer to the river with beautiful views. Cabin #5 is the most shaded and secluded.

Note on Noise and Parking: Cabins #1, #2, and #3 may experience some road noise. Parking is limited, with Cabin #1 accommodating up to two vehicles, while other cabins allow for one vehicle each.

Year-Round Comfort: All cabins are heated and available year-round, featuring a living room, kitchen with cooking essentials, and a full bathroom. Enjoy Wi-Fi and a TV with live streaming through Roku (Hulu included). Cabin #1 has a TV in the bedroom; the others feature it in the living room. Cabin #3 boasts a charming electric fireplace. While there’s no air conditioning, portable fans are provided during the summer. Each cabin has its own charcoal grill (charcoal not included).

Pet Policy: All cabins are dog-friendly, allowing up to two dogs per reservation. Please include dogs on your reservation for the correct pet fee. No other pets or more than two dogs are permitted.

Shared Amenities: Guests can enjoy several shared features, including:
• Two riverside decks with outdoor seating.
• An outdoor bonfire ring.
• A propane grill.
• An outdoor picnic table.

River Activities: The Platte River offers refreshing shallow dips, though it has a strong current—not ideal for swimming. Fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are available right from the property, and the riverfront is perfect for relaxation while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including deer and occasional bear sightings (only across the river).

Explore Northern Michigan: Our resort offers comfortable, affordable accommodations in a scenic location, conveniently near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Traverse City, Interlochen, Crystal Lake, Beulah, Crystal Mountain, Frankfort, and Lake Michigan. We invite you to book your stay and discover the beauty of Northern Michigan!

Cozy weekend

The cabin was super clean, and well stocked. Easy to find and very straightforward check in. It sleeps 5, but that would be a bit snug, it was perfect size for just the 2 of us and a small dog. Super convenient location near everything you would want to do up there!

New years eve Anniversary getaway.

Overall this was a good choice for us as we took our dog. It will sleep 5, but it will be very crowded as living space for 5 is not large enough. Stayed in cabin 2 and was just big enough for 2 of us and golden Labrador. Food preparation area limited in space if trying to make more complex meals. The microwave was located on the refrigerator, but we had to relocate it as there was no outlet nearby to plug into. Attempted to use the grill outside the cabin but it was too cold, line must have frozen up, tank felt full. Would stay here again
