We invite you to enjoy our home away from home located on the desirable West Side of Cedar Creek Lake only 60 miles from downtown Dallas! The home is an entertainer's dream with a covered deck cooled by ceiling fans and a breeze off the lake! Steps lead to a hammock for napping on a lazy day or looking out on a beautifully treed yard sloping down to the lake. There is a boat dock with a top sunning deck. You can gaze at the stars or watch the gorgeous sunsets over the lake! While some may want to relax on the deck with a cup of coffee or a cocktail or swim and fish off the dock, others can enjoy a family adventure on the calm waters. Please note that in the very late summer, the water depth at our dock is sometimes just 1-2 feet if we have not had rain.

Inside you will notice the breathtaking, panoramic open water view through the large windows while enjoying the ambiance set by the vaulted cedar ceiling and beams and beautiful decor. The open concept living/dining areas lead directly to the outdoors, so you are only steps from the lake! The living area is airy and comfortable. The well-stocked kitchen has plenty of storage and is open to the living and dining areas, including an eat-in bar and large farmhouse table that seats 10 where you can enjoy meals all while enjoying the gorgeous view of the lake! There is a laundry room with full-sized W/D for your use. Three large bedrooms in the main house are designed with comfort and function in mind. All bedrooms have a large private bath, and there is an additional full bath in the hall. The master has a gorgeous view of the lake and a king bed. Bedroom #2 has 2 queen beds, while bedroom #3 has a queen bed plus a bunk bed set.

Our detached guest room with bath has an additional queen bed. Please note that our home is not designed to hold more than the full capacity of 13 guests, so weddings or parties (loud music) are not allowed. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, and we want to be good neighbors.

We are sorry, but no pets are allowed. There is a custom built fire pit outside.

Bring the grill master and/or chef and enjoy a gas grill and large convection oven in addition to a refrigerator. Some condiments and spices are stocked. A 12-cup coffeemaker with carafe will keep your coffee hot, and we also provide a Keurig coffeemaker.

In addition to all of the water views and activities, this home offers a great location to venture off to Canton for a day at the flea market (one hour drive), Malakoff or Athens for antiquing, or Seven Points and Gun Barrel for a night out for dinner, movie theater, bingo or the Whatz-up Family Recreation Park for the kids (big and small). We even have our own local brewery with great craft beers and food as well as Triple N Winery with live music. The wonderful, private location and calm waters can provide the backdrop for a romantic anniversary or couples getaway, a holiday retreat, or a nice family vacation any time of the year. Either way, you'll make unforgettable memories.

Memorial Day reunion

What a great vacation home!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. This was the best stocked kitchen and simplest check-out we've ever had in a vacation rental. Communicating with the owner, Lori, was easy and she was quick to respond to questions. We all wished we could stay another week!

More beautiful than the desciption

We stayed here Wed thru Sun for our daughters wedding which was at a house in the same neighborhood. The house was perfect and beautiful. The yard is huge and has a fabulous fire pit and dock. The living area is a wonderful size and those recliners! OMG so comfortable. The main bedroom is on one side of the house with the other 2 rooms in the other part of the house. The detached room w/bathroom worked out great for a younger married couple in our group. The communication with the owners was great and very understanding that we had a crazy weekend with a wedding. Absolutely will stay here again and recommend to others headed to Cedar Creek Lake.

Family hangout for Wedding Weekend

We picked this house because it had so many bathrooms, and we knew everyone would be getting ready for our son's wedding! The bonus is that this was a perfect house! Beautiful quiet area, and the hosts thought of everything to make our stay exceptional!!! And with 7 women getting ready for a wedding it was the perfect space!!! Great place for a family vacation

We came for a family reunion but spent quite late bit of time at this lovely home visiting with immediate family & friend. Beautiful spot with all the amenities. They even left fixings to make s’mores which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. I would certainly recommend this place for a family get together! Easy in & easy out.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Amazing Thanksgiving with family!!

This property was absolutely stunning! We had 12 people and there was plenty of room for all of us!! The views were incredible and the back porch was so comfy and cozy. Perfect for families

The lake house is well equipped for families and the owners provide extra touches that made us all feel welcome. we had 5 adults and 6 kids under 12 in our party. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had space for privacy. The common spaces are large and comfortable. The lake was low while we were they, but we were still able enjoy it and the other outdoor games at the property. There was a maintenance issue while we were there, but the owners were responsive and had everything resolved in a timely manner.

Family celebration

This home was a wonderful place for our family to stay. The home was large enough for us to all be comfortable and have plenty of space. There were 7 adults and 2 children and we never felt cramped. The kids loved the big yard to run around in. We picked this location because it was somewhat between Canton and Arlington. We enjoyed Canton and also got to go to a Rangers game. We will definitely consider this home again!

Wonderful Home

We were extremely pleased with this home. The home was very clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated and a well stocked kitchen. The large backyard was great for the kids. There is a large back porch to congregate and enjoy the lake. They hosts were responsive and definitely willing to accommodate. We look forward to returning.

Excellent Lake House Escape

This rental fit our group perfectly. We had 7 adults and 3 children. There was a place for everyone at the table and the family room was roomy and comfortable. Some places say they sleep 10, but that often means someone is sleeping on an uncomfortable cot or sofa bed. This house had a comfortable bed for everyone. We enjoyed spending time on the back porch, the fire pit and the dock. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchenware we needed. The owners left snacks for us, which were a big hit with the kids. This place was beautiful and comfortable. We felt very at home here. The owners were great and it was good to talk to the owners rather than a management company.

Thanksgiving with the whole family!

Long awaited family gathering after covid delay

Our family had stayed at this lovely property in 2019 and then had to cancel our return visit in 2020 due to the covid lockdown. Finally, after a long delay we were able to return in September, 2021, with our children and grandchildren. It's the perfect place to make life-long memories and share precious moments together! Sunrises and sunsets on the dock, fishing with our grandson, relaxing in the hammock, playing games, laughing and having fun, sharing meals cooked outside on the grill ... the list goes on and on. The owners go out of their way to help you have a wonderful visit!

Great stay at a great house!

This property and the view are exactly as represented. The kitchen and the home are incredibly well stocked - in fact, in my many VRBO rentals, I have never found one so complete! Our hosts were communicative and thorough. We had a marvelous time and will be back next year.
