We enjoyed our stay. The property is convenient, clean, and spacious. It snowed a few inches while we were there. They snow blowed the driveway and walkways as soon as possible. We really appreciated that.
This was my 1st VRBO booking and I was well pleased. It was nice to run into Lou upon arrival. He shared the best places to eat & the nearest locations for fun in the snow.
The accommodations were as shown in the pics & met all of our needs. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of space.
Safeway, shops & eateries are just 10mins away. It’s a perfect location winter or summer with the slopes & lake just minutes away.

I came to the Carnelian Bay cabin for a trip with my college friends. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend filled with hikes nearby and exploring the downtown not too far away. This rental was perfect for what we needed, Lou and Lisa communicated wonderfully and made the check-in/check-out process smooth and easy. The neighborhood surrounding this house was perfect for a walk and wasn't too far from the Lake if you wanted to watch the sunset or sunrise. Overall, it was a great weekend, and I would highly recommend it.
Great location and outdoor space but inaccurate listing.
We had a very nice time staying at the cabin which was fairly well stocked with supplies. Our only complaint is that the "4th" bedroom was really just a section of the small loft which did not afford privacy. Also, there is a tenant living on the property which was not disclosed until the final instructions were given on the check-in process. I would still recommend the cabin as long as those two items are anticipated.
Overall, the house is nice, plenty of bedrooms and beds. 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 bedrooms downstairs, two bathrooms, one upstairs in the master, while the other is downstairs. The kitchen is very tight, but is manageable and stocked with the basics.
Owners were very responsive through the whole process. We ran out of propane the first night, and a replacement tank was brought to us by Lou very quickly after I reported it.
This is the 3rd year we’ve vacationed at this cabin and it’s perfect for us! The beds are comfortable, kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels and other necessities. There are things to keep everyone enjoying themselves, a ping-pong table, and we played horse shoes. So fun! It was definitely a much needed change from staying home under COVID-19 restrictions. We walked to the nearby beach and rented paddle boards, and took a short drive to Kings Beach. The owners are really nice and very responsive. Easy check in and out. We’ve never had a problem and hope to return next summer.
We loved everything about this property, location was close to the lake, restaurants, groceries, etc. and the property itself was clean and well stocked. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back. Thank you Lisa and Lou for sharing your home with us!
The property is clean and homey. It's right next to the lake and multiple beaches. Checking in was easy and the hosts gave clear directions on the check out process.
We stayed here for the Christmas week. The house is big and comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything we needed.
Hosts were very easy to communicate with. We had a good time and would recommend this house.
Lou and Lisa are great hosts, easy to deal with and friendly. Their house is great, well-stocked with necessities, and comfortable beds. It’s within walking distance to Patton Beach, which we love, and went to everyday. Waterman’s Landing is right there for paddle board rentals and lunch, and a short drive or walk to Gar woods for dinner. Overall, this house is good value for our family.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It is very comfortable and very kid friendly. The owners are very nice and easy to deal with. We will be back.

Comfortable and fun
Our group of 7 stayed over Christmas holiday. The house is big and comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything we needed, the bedrooms were comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the variety of board games available at the house. There is plenty of seating for everyone in the living room and in the dining room. The house is cozy and warm throughout. I would highly recommend it for family vacation or a vacation with friends.

Great house and location for family summer fun!
We had a great time in Tahoe, the house suited our family of 5 perfectly, and with the ping pong table, DVD movies, board games, we had plenty to do in between several short walks to the beach. The house was nicely decorated, neat, clean, comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. We love the area and have stayed in several other homes, and this one is one of our favorites, everything considered. Plenty of clean towels, comfortable beds, condiments, spices, napkins, foil and plastic were an added plus when it came to BBQ ing on the huge gas grill. We met Lou the first day and he was great. Lisa too, she noticed we left our iPad and didn’t hesitate to let us know and she offered to ship it to us the same day. Phew! Wonderful people, wonderful house, wonderful location. Thank you so much!

Perfect for 2 families or a team gathering!
Thank you owners for sharing your cozy home! We stayed here for the Christmas ski week with 2 families and the kids loved the loft. I returned in summer with my 6 other teammates for a race and everyone loved the space and home features.

Great Home!
This house was perfect for my family's vacation to Tahoe. It was big enough to sleep my large family comfortably. And we loved the ping pong table! Lou and Lisa were very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this rental!

Clean, well-stocked, nice layout
We really enjoyed our time at Lou and Lisa's place. I met Lou a number of times and he was always helpful and friendly. Lisa communicated with me by phone and was prompt and responsive.
The house is well-located, on a quiet street.
My only issue (and I knew this going in, so it's not a complaint!) is that the common space was a little small for our large group. If you went during the Summer and can use the outside as well, that wouldn't be a problem.
Comfortable seating, a great selection of videos and DVDs. Fully stocked. Great hosts.

Great house, location, and space.
We had two families staying - 4 adults, 4 kids, age 6-12, for 3 nights. There was ample room, and the living room/family room/kitchen area was perfect for us. The kids play area at the top of the stairs doubled as an extra sleeping area for kids that wanted to sleep together. We didn't use it but the additional space off the master bedroom upstairs looks like it would have made a great quiet play area.
The motion-detect lights on the walkway leading in were a smart and welcome idea - an added layer of safety when traversing a possibly icy walkway in the dark.
Location was perfect - 20 min to Northstar, probably similar to Squaw, had we gone there.
Not having the garage was fine - there was plenty of room in the driveway, and the garage resident was very nice. There was also plenty of room in the mudroom/entry way for boots, jackets, etc.
We didn't use the wood-burning stove/fireplace - the house was plenty warm, so we didn't really need it. We also didn't want the concern of little hands on it.
Overall a lovely house and great experience with the owners.

Nice house, good location.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The only problem was that it was uncomfortably warm at night and there was no fan upstairs. And no windows that opened. The location was great, the house clean and roomy!

Loved it!
Great experience at the cabin. Good space for our group although the futon bed wasn't the most comfortable but we didn't expect it to be. Fully stocked kitchen and good location for Squaw and Northstar. We would come again!

About the host
Hosted by Lou and Lisa Camozzi
Homeowners and residents of the Tahoe Area for 35 years. Love this Lake and all it has to offer. We raised our family here, so we know first hand how wonderful it is for family vacations and getaways.
Why they chose this property
Agate Bay is one of the most desired Locations on the lake because it is centrally located to all the main attractions and features of living in this beautiful area. It is not over crowded and quiet and peaceful. We are close to a major airport in Reno and a small one in Truckee. We are 10 minutes away from Nevada for gaming. The dining is exceptional within walking distance. You will not be disappointed.
What makes this property unique
One of the best assets to our home is that it is centrally located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe giving you easy access to everything without traffic. Also, the walking ability to many fun activities, 1/2 mile to the lake and fine dining, plus hiking trails and mini golf, boating and much more. We live in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for the whole family in our 4 bedroom home.
