We just returned from living overseas and needed a way to gather and reconnect with family with various needs (cancer, anxiety and depression). This house was a beautiful respite for all. Open and bright with lots of games, movies blankets, kayaks and tennis rackets, unopened balls. Every appliance I could have wished for was available in the kitchen. The owner was very quick to reply when we had a question. Definitely recommend this place!
The host was incredible. They were communicative and informative. They went over the top and exceeded all expectations we had for our stay. The property was beautiful and was stocked with more than enough accessories. We were able to cook our entire Thanksgiving meal with no problems. Thanks for making our family gathering so memorable!
Super relaxed stay with friends before a boat weekend. Hot tub wasn't working, property manager let us know after we booked. Seemed to lack towels - there were 6 bath towels for 10 of us. The Starlink internet was super slow and spotty. And a request was to clean dishes before we left but there was a lack of soap, sponges/etc. And the main light above the kitchen prep area was burnt out.
That said, we really did enjoy the property and the surrounding and would return again. Back patio was perfect for game night.
Everything about this home was perfect for our group of parents & adult kids!
Very clean & beautiful home.
The layout of the house allowed us to play games around the kitchen together & gather, but offered plenty of spaces for privacy.
We enjoyed grilling outside, we love to cook, so the we really appreciated all the cooking utensils and gadgets.
Booking, Directions & communication was excellent. It was nice to see Deerfield Resort-everyone we met was very friendly.
Fun on the lake-swimming from dock, boating and jet skiing.
This property was everything it was advertised to be! The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment, the beds and bedrooms were all comfortable and well laid out. The bathrooms were clean. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again!
This home was perfect and everyone had an amazing time. The dock was great for my son’s pontoon, swimming and fishing. The home was equipped with virtually everything we needed (plus more) and the hot tub was enjoyed by everyone. The master suite was beautiful. We loved the location on the lake. Thank you for making a much needed family vacation a great memory.
The house was perfect for our family. The owners were quick to respond to questions during our stay. Be aware that five homes share one dock and are allocated one slip each.
Be prepared to pay a outrageous cleaning fee and then be expected to clean the cabin top to bottom before you leave! We left the floor needing to be swept at best! Then was asked to pay more money on top of the already high cleaning fee. The hot tub looked to not be cleaned for some time. There was green slime all around the edges of it. The host is completely unreasonable! I've never had any sort of bad review or altercation with a host until now on VRBO! And I'm sure they will come back with some sort of smart comment trying to make it look like I am the one in the wrong, but believe who you want! I wouldn't book this place again!
The house was very clean and the listing was very accurate. Location was nice with an easy walk down to the lake and the dock. We did have an issue with Water pressure but that was no fault of the homeowner, the maintenance team fixed a leak up the road and we were in business. The lake area was beautiful and I would definitely visit here again during peak season. Thank you for the great stay!
We had a great stay. The house was great and in a great location. The TVs in the rooms did not really work great due to the internet not being the greatest and buffering often but that was not a big deal to us since we don’t care about that when we go to the lake. Everything else at the house worked as it should. Access to the house was easy and the owners were responsive to my questions during the trip.
Property was beautiful. Hosts were very responsive. Had an issue with sink and dishwasher first day. They had their workers out the next day fixing the problem. Couldn't have asked for a better host. The set up of the home was perfect for our family. We can't say enough about how beautiful this lake is. Was our first time and won't be our last. The dock was perfect for hanging out. We will be back again!!!
We had a wonderful, quiet week. The house was a perfect size for us. Unfortunately the oven stopped working but the owner was most apologetic. We didn’t realize until the day before we left how dirty the floor was under the couches but i fault their cleaning company for that. We cleaned it up for them. The owners were very responsive and it felt like we were texting friends.
We truly enjoyed our vacation at Norris Lake! The cabin has everything you expect, need and want! Fully stocked kitchen! No need to bring ANYTHING, blender, crockpot and grill were all available! Steps to lake were not as bad as expected (even with a friend who had knee replacement)! Lots of room to spread out and enjoy being lake front!
At the back of cove and hidden away by trees, a natural landscape. Kitchen is fully equipped with numerous dishes and silverware, with large refrigerator. Our group enjoyed hot tub after a long day on the lake and then fixing a large meal for everyone, and eating outside at large table on balcony. 4 baths and 4 bedrooms great for family and friends that joined us throughout our week. My son’s dog enjoyed the cove where he could river stomp among the stones and branches. Basket of dog tows and chew sticks by fireplace so even our 4-legged family members could enjoy the lake house. On Norris Lake one can always expect stairs to lake, not too many for our group that ranged in age from 28 - 69 years old. Dog loved running up and down stairs. Shared dock has partial cover that isn’t included in photos. Dock is large enough for multiple houses and 3 boats. Everyone we met that shared tge dock were very nice. Kayak around bend in cove brings you to a more sandy shore and another deeper cove. Another great stay on Norris Lake creating family memories!
We loved this lakehouse in the woods on the shores of Lake Norris. We had a blast using the hot tub, kayaks, and the shared dock to park a rental pontoon for a day. I couldn't recommend this place enough, looking forward to going back.
We used this Christmas as reset. A year with no presants just "presents." This home tucked away in the Cumberland mountains with beautiful views and gated community did just that! We cooked almost every night in the beautiful spacious kitchen which had our every need. We stayed up late watching DVDs from the huge collection provided. Then slept in late in the super comfy beds. Christmas day was spent by a fire in the fireplace and listening to Christmas music whiling enjoying the hot tub. We visited Knoxville Pigeon Forge and Ashville. All no more than 3 hours from the house. We treasured everyday and every memory made while we were there.
This lovely home on Lake Norris was a great place for eight retired college friends to reconnect. The four bedrooms and baths were perfect for four couples and gave us each a place to retreat, when we needed personal space. The fall colors were beautiful while we were there, the second week of October, and our favorite activities included walking, hot tubbing and just relaxing on the deck, enjoying the view. The only drawback (if you can call it that) was a poor wi-fi connection but that enhanced conversation and personal interaction. The men enjoyed a fishing charter while the "girls" were antiquing in Clinton, TN. Many local attractions/marinas had closed down for the season, but that meant crowds were nonexistent when we did venture out. We are already talking about our next getaway!
It had been six years since all three of our children and their families had been together in one place. And this place was great! Every family had their own bedroom and plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed the kayaking on the lake and fishing too.
Jeff was great host and would recommend this home to the next family looking to reconnect!

As the new owners, Chris & Jennifer have owned rental properties in Ohio for over 30 years and have vast experience with rentals. Chris is a small business owner, and Jennifer works in the healthcare field. We have enjoyed vacationing at Norris Lake with our two girls for almost as long. We have always wanted to own a lake house, and we made that dream a reality on September 30, 2024. Our plan is to eventually retire and live in Tennesse full time, but until Chris is ready to slow down at his job so we can do that, we have decided to share our little piece of heaven with you and your loved ones. We hope your family will make everlasting memories on Norris and want to come back every year like us.
Why they chose this property
After vacationing at Norris Lake for over 25 years we knew we would eventually end up owning a home here it was just a matter of finding the right fit for our family. We love all aspects of lake life and wanted to be on the water. This house fit all of our needs with minimal steps (less than 30) to the lake and the tranquil setting of the wooded lot made this house an easy choice. You almost forget that it is situated inside the gated community of Deerfield. Which for us was another huge bonus as we are minutes from the golf course and the marina. It truly offers us everything you could ask for in a home away from home. We are excited to be able to share our new home with you so that others may enjoy the lake, and all that this area has to offer,
