We enjoyed this property, from sunrise to stargazing. Easy access to the lake in our kayaks, exploring on our bikes, and hikes to beautiful views. Dinner on the gas grill, conversation around the fire pit and board games on the screened porch. Our perfect vacation!
We had an amazing week in Rangeley! …Randy the owner was fantastic to work with……The area was so quiet and peaceful…was just what the doctor ordered for us!!
We had another wonderful week staying at this property again this year. The house contains everything we need. The porch is absolutely wonderful. Very clean property located right on the water makes it very accessible. Host is extremely helpful. We love taking an annual vacation here!
Another great week at this cabin. It is a very special place. Dead quiet, almost no motorboat traffic, small cove to swim in, large grassy area to park, no neighbors, propane grill, large screened in porch, the list goes on. Not sure what else you want in a vacation. Will be back!
It was another great vaca at Randy’s. Perfect private and spacious location, amazing waterfront, and much more. It’s always a pleasure to stay here. Finally caught salmon!
We really enjoyed our stay. Great views of fall foliage around the lake and our dog was obsessed with playing in the water. Weather wasn't great but we made the best of it and will certainly look to book again!
you can't find a more relaxing, beautiful spot on the lake. The eagle can usually be seen near camp as well as osprey, king fisher, and loons. It's just the right amount of rustic comfort with a breath-taking view of the clean lake. Randy is a fabulous host, will check in with you when you arrive, and is super responsive to any questions.
We loved our stay at the cabin. It fit our needs and we had an awesome time. My children liked swimming, fishing, and seeing the views and wildlife. The location was quiet and serene. The host had all necessary info prepared and was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Nothing was lacking. Already booked for next year.
We had a wonderful October stay! The camp was as described and true to the photos. Large private yard and amazing views of the lake and mountains. Very peaceful, and the screen porch was great. Rangeley is a fun town to explore with a variety of activities to choose from. Randy was perfectly communicative and helpful with all of our questions. Check-in was a breeze and check out was very reasonable. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!
Great traditional lakeside camp. Beautiful location with privacy. Good place to forget about the outside world. No Wi-Fi TV. It was wonderful.
Property manager was available and very helpful.
Already booked for next year.
I have rented camps every summer for 20 years and this camp has the best location of any place we have ever been. The porch was the place to be when inside and the two docks and large lawn were just great!!! It was great being in the cove as the lake was calm there but you had easy access to the wide open lake. We were able to take our boat and ride to town where there was a public dock we could use which was great for doing some shopping and having lunch. Randy was excellent to work with and the camp was clean, well stocked and relaxing. My only comment about the accommodations is that I wish the mattresses in the bunk room and main bedroom were more comfortable. Otherwise the place was great and we will definitely be back. Thank you Randy for sharing your place with me and my family.
My wife and I took our dog and ran away from civilization! The location and the lake were all we could have hoped for. Plenty of yard area for the pup to run, and two docks to enter the water. All the linens, towels and dishes were provided so we didn't have to pack the car to the hilt.
We saw an eagle, loons, geese and ducks as well as too many small songbirds to mention!
The folks in town were super friendly and helpful and there's a small IGA grocery store, and a sports outfitter with everything from fishing gear to kayaks and boat rentals.
The owner, Randy, was very helpful and attentive.
There wasn't much phone service (through Verizon at least) but that's a plus. Leave your devices home and get outside on the lake.
That's what this place is all about!

Why they chose this property
If you were to read all the reviews and choose a few key factors they would include the quiet nature of the property, unique views not only of the surrounding mountains but of the wildlife appearing, camp setting being close to water while sheltered in a quiet cove and last offering plenty of open space to relax and view stars. The cabin is setup to provide a peaceful setting with a focus on personal relaxation that is yours to choose. Not all guests choose to sleep in the cabin but tent or bring their favorite hammock to be outdoors while having using the cabin to support their needs. Think outside the box.
What makes this property unique
Our quiet location on the lake with open space, views of area mountains and south bog is mentioned in many of our reviews.
