Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.
I stayed there with my wife, brother and sister in law.
Our only issue was that the second bedroom is not very private, protected only by a curtain and small.
Property best suited to a family with children
Saw the photos and thought it seemed like a nice little overnight stay for a day trip to Sequoia National Park, after our evening at the Fresno PBR event. We decided to go to the cabin prior to the event. The drive to Fresno was a little long. So was not ideal for that leg of our trip. The cabin itself was great; rustic and comfy. Decorated/furnished nicely and honestly looked better in person than in the photos. I recommend the host updates the photos for that reason. The shower is a little wonky but it’s a 100 year old cabin, at least there was a shower! The water took a little while to turn warm, middle of march cold temps - expected but a little longer than actually expected. There is a lodge/bar literally right across the street with good burgers and fries, local beer, sassy but funny lady serving. The drive to Sequoia National Park was windy but not too long, probably 30 ish minutes - we had a lot of mist. Overall a good location for SNP with very rustic but comfy character. Would absolutely stay again.
We struggled with the lock box, but everything after that was amazing! The hosts were very responsive when we were struggling with the lock box. The cabin is so cozy and has so much character. Highly recommend if you’re wanting to enjoy Sequoia National Park and star gaze!
Fabulous location minutes from Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP entrance.A historic cabin with all of the amenities including a kitchen with the basic supply needs. Across the street is a historic lodge (bar and grill. Would gladly stay again but for much longer!
I arrived prepared to rough it knowing that I’m in the woods and I did not expect the amenities and comforts that were available. I had the feeling of communing with nature while simultaneously having all the comforts of home. The property manager communicated everything I needed to know to access the property and maximize the experience. As a retired Marine living on a fixed income, I thought the price of the stay was reasonable. The best endorsement I can think of is “I intend to stay here again.”

This is a charming property, and the owners were extremely communicative and helpful! It is relatively close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Parks at a great price point. The living room, dining room and bedroom are very comfortable. It is a 100 year old cabin, and the clawfoot tub and kitchen show their age. That being said, I found this to be a very comfortable stay, and the owners have thought of everything to provide a rich experience for guests who stay here ... from basic kitchen supplies to an array of board games to an introductory video on the two local Parks. I suggest arriving before dark as the road to the cabin is on a very winding road requiring slow driving and some rather tight turns. All in all, a wonderful experience!!!
We loved this little space! I guess I really didn’t pay attention to the listing when I booked it but it’s definitely a real cabin experience. Quirky yet quaint interior. There is a random, little cafe/pub type place literally across that road that had amazing little burgers and a super friendly staff. We are happy we stayed!
We knew it was tiny-ok. We knew it was down the very common twisty, narrow roads in this area-ok.
What we didn't know until we arrived was that the Bathroom was nearly unusable:tub/shower arrangement was like a rube-goldberg device we chose not to try. Original 100+ year-old floors mean everything is downhill from front to back: kitchen floors and counters tilt so much to the back that they are like walking in a boat. Everything in kitchen is sealed in a plastic bin, to reduce critters and dampness. 3+floor fans plus 2 ceiling fans were running as we arrived but the mustiness was still there. Electric is suspect: signs everywhere tell you what not to plug in, or where, and much is not working (like lights in bedroom). Above all, this is not a secure cabin. Despite owner's efforts to lock up the front entry, it would not be difficult to push a door in and access the cabin. Similarly, windows would be easy to push through and enter. We stayed the 2 nights we pre-paid, and used the cabin very little except to sleep and eat cold breakfast.
This rustic, historic cabin is right outside of Sequoia Nat’l Park. The cabin is quite old and you feel like you are stepping back in time, which is part of the charm.

The cabin is 99 years old and very rustic. Could have been cleaned better - cob webs! Bathroom was very small, with a standing tub and portable shower spray at shoulder level. We were told upon arrival that a cute frog lived in the bathroom - we actually had 3.
Positive aspects were close proximity to the NP and restaurant across the street.

This cabin is unique! It is a fully equipped one-bedroom home with 100 years of history and lots of little add-ons to make it interesting. It was wonderful to have this home away from home as our base for visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.

We could not sleep at all here due to heat, dust, and overwhelming fragrances. This is a great find for people with no sensitivities to dust, perfume, or extreme temperatures. It was a mistake to think “no cleaning fee” meant the property was clean. Carpets, taxidermy, and upper shelves full of dust made it difficult to breathe. My eyes began itching within 10 minutes of entering the property. Listing specified AC in bedroom, but since the bedroom walls do not go up to the ceiling, the poor AC tried and failed to cool the entire cabin. Property is well insulated - it remained hotter than the outdoors until 4am during this heat wave, despite windows open and fans on high. Road construction nearby made outdoors hazy with diesel exhaust, more like the inner city than a wooded mountainside. Property is directly on the major road as well. Not the peaceful cabin in the woods we expected at all. Finally, it is ~45 min away from the park entrance with the current closure of the 245 (as of July 2024). With all these issues, we were lucky to get a refund and were able to find a hotel inside Kings Canyon National Park.

You get what you pay for. It's an inexpensive option for hiking in the area. The restaurant across the street was convenient.
The home wasn't ready when we got there at 3:45. Even though it says check in is at 3:30. So we had to wait in the heat, tired from the drive. But the biggest disappointment and a serious consideration the owners should make is that there was only one small ac unit located in the bedroom. And that wasn't even coolong that bedroom. The heat was intolerable and we left a day early, right after we were done with our hike. We just could not stay indoors for another evening and night. There were multiple fans turned on the entire time, but they were just circulating hot air. There need to be more ac units installed throughout the home. The bathtub and shower also looked a bit disgusting.
If you appreciate antique charm, this place will certainly appeal to you. The host was friendly and very responsive.
The cabin's vintage charm is evident in every corner, offering a nostalgic trip back in time. The authentic details from the 1920s are delightful and give the place a unique character that you don't find in modern accommodations.
However, there were a few challenges. The air conditioning was limited to a small window unit in the bedroom, making the rest of the cabin quite stuffy. Fans were provided, but they mostly circulated hot air, which made it hard for me to stay comfortable due to my heat intolerance issues.
The bathroom features a classic clawfoot tub, which adds to the antique ambiance. However, the shower setup was a bit inconvenient since you need to sit down to use it, as the shower handle doesn’t hang on the wall.
Overall, this cabin is perfect for those who can embrace its vintage charm and don't mind a few quirks. If you're looking for a truly unique stay with a touch of history, and can handle some heat, this cabin is a great choice.
The place was very nice and well kept and decorated. The host was absolutely amazing. Got our bed sheets changed every day. Clean towels.
Right across the street there’s this charming authentic restaurant, bar owned by a hard working gal Linda. The food was amazing.
Will definitely return to this cabin.

Cute cabin in the woods. And decorated very rustically. There were lots of items in the kitchen, such as coffee, salt, pepper, Ziploc bags, etc. We even had to-go cups available. The refrigerator is very small, but did the job. A lot of things such as the sink, bathtub and wood floors were original to the cabin. Our only problem was the floor was sloped badly due to settling. It was difficult for my husband to sleep as he felt felt like his head was lower than his feet. He suffers from vertigo. Cabin was easy to find, and the restaurant nearby had tasty food and friendly staff.
