Take the peaceful lakeside escape you've been craving at this 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath vacation rental in Higganum, CT! 2 hours from Boston and New York and close to Yale, Hartford and the Long Island Sound. The home promises quality family time inside and out: fishing off the dock on a private lake, host a barbecue on the deck, or have a fun-filled game night in the rec room with air hockey and theater seating. After a day of exploring the ski resorts or Yale University, unwind on the patio while you take in the panoramic views.
Important: Please be aware that the private pond located on the property is subject to Homeowners Association (HOA) rules and regulations. These rules strictly prohibit swimming, ice skating, and boating on or in the pond. Fishing off of the dock on the property is permitted. Millers Pond State Park is also within walking distance. These restrictions are in place for the safety of all residents and guests, as well as to protect the pond's ecosystem. All guests will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging their understanding and agreement to abide by these pond restrictions before their stay. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.

I'm originally from Iowa and am proud of my Midwestern roots. I somehow found myself on the East Coast and have lived here for almost 20 years. I love spending time with family and watching sporting events.
Why they chose this property
This location is close enough to everything without being too close. It's centrally located 2 hours from New York and Boston, 30 minutes from Hartford, but it's a peaceful secluded spot that is a perfect respite from the hustle and bustle.
What makes this property unique
Where to begin? The panoramic views of the lake from virtually every room in the house provide a real sense of tranquility. While there are neighboring properties on the lake, you generally cannot see them and in a sense you feel that the lake is your own. Fishing abounds with bass and pike. Our property is designed for families with a full functioning theater/game room inside and plenty of leisure activities such as kayaking outside.
