Horrible First Vrbo Experience
This place was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had staying at a hosts home. When my family and I arrived, we kept thinking we were at the wrong location, as there was a broken down car within arms reach with spider webs on it, and cats everywhere. It wreaked of cat urine the moment we opened our car doors, and as we get to the front door, a rotten jack o lantern that’s been sitting for over a week since Halloween, is right at the steps.
As we walk in, the inside looks way smaller than it appeared on the listing, because a wide angle lens was used to take the photos, which is VERY misleading.
The kitchen was filthy. There were crumbs and leftover food inside the microwave, and smeared grease marks on the microwave door. The oven was atrocious. Baked on food that’s been in and on it for at LEAST a few months.
The master bedroom not only didn’t have a shower curtain, it didn’t even have the rod. There were stains on the toilet left from whoever last sat on it, and hair all on the floors. Absolutely disgusting!
To make everything worse, when we contacted the host about these issues, she sent the cleaners to come back and fix them, and the cleaners had an attitude and made excuses for their errors, rather than just fixing it and leaving.
Not to mention the creepy feeling of finding a key hidden in a fake bush at the back door. UNBELIEVABLE!
The fact that the house was cleaner when we left it is outrageous. MINUS 5 stars for the host AND Vrbo!
