Centre Hall, PA is a quaint, historic town located in the heart of the state. Centre Hall hosts the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair. The Grange Fair attracts tens of thousands of people during its run, and takes place during the last weeks in August annually. It is one of the few remaining tenting fairs in the United States, with nearly a thousand "army-style" tents laid in rows throughout its grounds. It is possible to walk to the Fair from our location because of the closeness to our accommodations.
Centre Hall is close to Beaver Stadium, Penns Cave and its wildlife park, the Arboretum at Penn State, Bald Eagle State Park, Black Moshannon State Park, Poe Valley State Park, Woodward Cave, the Tussey Mountain ski area, the Pennsylvania Military Museum, and victorian Bellefonte just to name a few interests.
One of Centre Hall’s greatest assets in its surrounding areas as well is its abundant wildlife in a setting of great natural beauty. Fishermen’s Paradise and the Scotia Game Lands are just some of these public parks and facilities available to Centre Countians. The Neff “Round Barn,” one of its most iconic buildings, is located at 2519 Earlystown Road. It’s a beautiful historic barn worth sightseeing.
