Ogden Falls is a spectacular two-bedroom home in Stowe—exceptional architecture seamlessly integrated into gorgeous natural surroundings.
As you turn into the wooded drive, Ogden, a life-size rhinoceros sculpted from recycled metal, welcomes you to this fabulous home. So beautiful and light-filled in every space, Ogden Falls is a special gem, indeed. Inside, the open-plan common areas are ideal for making yourself at home—preparing a farm-to-table meal in the high-end kitchen, setting the dining table to ten, or relaxing in front of the wood-burning fireplace looking toward the purposefully framed view of the Falls Brook waterfall. Throughout the space, great care was taken in selecting rich accents and comfy pleasures.
The opposite wing of the home is reserved for the primary suite which is sleek and spacious, boasting a lovely king-sized bed and beautiful en-suite bathroom with double vanity and large shower. Ample storage for gear with a wall of hooks and cubbies galore, a large den perfect for fun and games, a guest room with two twins over double bunk beds, and a second full bathroom can be found on the lower level.
In addition to the beauty on the inside, this home is just as much about what you'll find outside with various seating areas, including a great patio with a fire pit. The waterfall and brook may be the visual highlight but what you don't see are the miles of accessible trails—hiking at Nebraska Notch, Cottonbrook, or Lake Mansfield are favorite nearby options, cross-country skiing and biking at Cottonbrook and Trapp's are both less than 4 miles away, or enjoy the local back-country skiing! Falls Brook, Miller Brook, and the Little River—all within walking distance—each offer some of the best trout fishing in Vermont. Nebraska Knoll Sugar Farm, the nearby sugarbush, produces some of Stowe's finest maple syrup. Close enough to town for pizza delivery from well-known Piecasso but just a quick drive to Mountain Road, if you are seeking tranquility, privacy, and natural immersion, this is the home for you!
