Beautiful Property with great hosts!
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. Roberta went out of her way to replace the packnplay that was provided at the property to provide a safer one and that was greatly appreciated. Some of the sleepers aren’t in the best conditions, but aside from that, I highly recommend staying here!

Perfect stay
We rented this property with a group of friends and our kids. We had 10 adults and 8 kids, we all had a blast! Enough room to run around and for everyone to have their space when needed. Enough beds for everyone, and some! Some of the couples with little kids splitted up and they both got their own room. The views are stunning, the quietness of the surrounding is amazing. What made the stay the best though I believe was the owner and the property managers. They were responsive, friendly laid back. They gave us our privacy yet we’re there for whatever needed. Terry took us and the kids on a ride in his truck to go feed the animals and check out the creek, big hit with the little ones! The kids loved the hot tub and we also brought a kiddie pool that came in pretty handy when it got too hot. I must say we lucked out with the weather cause it wasn’t too hot when we were there, I can see how it can get a lot warmer. That being said though the patio is amazing, gets plenty of shade and an amazing breeze blows all day long. I cannot say enough good things about this place and their managers. We will definitely come back!!

Peaceful Family Gathering
The property is peaceful and beautiful there are rolling hills with oak trees and a faraway view of Sutter Buttes so we could just sit on the porch and relax and enjoy the view and maybe see occasional woodpeckers, jack rabbits, wild turkey, squirrels. The children had so much fun playing and running around - playing shuffleboard, ringo, bocci ball, exploring, climbing on the rock at Mary's Grotto, playing in the wading pool we brought with us. Some highlights were many sitting areas in the house and on the porch; fire ring was a great place to roast marshmallows; interesting historical objects on the walls and fun coonskin caps. The safari by Terry was a wonderful way to connect with the ranch animals (bison, cows and alpaca) and understand the job of the rancher, for instance, to make sure the bull is happy and does not wonder afar. A few things to know. The zebras are no longer there as of June 2023. The mini kitchen in the upstairs quest house room was noisy. Also, we could not find a soup laddle. We could not find a guest instructions book, but Diane Estrada answered our questions about trash disposal and checkout list quickly. However these were all minor issues and we totally enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing Weekend
We were a group of 19, with age ranging from 11 months to 40ish old ;). We all had so much fun. Much needed RnR with a group of friends turned family. The place was clean and had things we needed. Diane, Roberta and Terry were a delight to work with, very easy communication. The ranch tour was very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this ranch! Thank you for letting us stay and experience Ranch Life.

Amazing Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the ranch. We were a group of 5 families celebrating new year’s eve. The property is very beautiful and you could just spend your time enjoying the endless breathtaking views around. The house was very well stocked with all essentials. There are enough indoor and outdoor games to keep everyone busy. The safari experience is a big highlight! The hosts and the property manager were very welcoming and highly responsive. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for the summer!

Amazing stay with a fantastic owner
I can't say enough about our trip. We were very concerned about our trip given the issues with the fires near the property as well as the resulting air quality issues arising from the fires. Diane kept the lines of communication open, gave frequent status updates, and worked closely with us regarding activities given how unhealthy the air was due to the fires. Diane, Terry, and Roberta were all fantastic and did everything they could to make sure our trip was memorable. The house is the most well stocked and well furnished vacation rental I've been to. From the well stocked kitchen, to the extra fridge in the wet room, and the ice maker on the deck, everything you need for a comfortable stay is taken care of. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the safari. Being able to see these beautiful animals up close and getting to feed them was amazing. I had also never seen a real working dog at work, so watching Terry and Sheba work together to herd the animals was a real treat. Thank you so much for making our time at the ranch unforgettable!

You will never run short on enjoying the place and funfilled activities
From the day of request / booking until checkout, communication with Diane was excellent. She guided us at every step and kept us in the loop with daily communication. Check-in process was a breeze and was made very smooth with Terry. He is a gem of a person and helped all the time during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with all the amenities provided, extra things that were allowed to be used. There are lot of onsite activities, games, hiking that you can do. Unfortunately the weather played a spoil sport with record high temperatures but still we had a lot of fun staying inside the house with so many board games, BBQ, karaoke etc. Overall it was great fun and we would definitely come back early next year when everything is green to enjoy the beauty.

Amazing hidden gem
We wanted to get away from our daily lives during this pandemic and 14 Oaks was the perfect escape. Terry and Roberta were on site to greet us upon our arrival and explain the layout. The house is charming and spacious with spread out bedrooms, the best was the separate quarters for the children to feel like they were living on their own! The fact that the kids were asking if we can come back next year makes 14 Oaks a winner in my book! Diane was prompt with any questions I had and she provided lots of ideas on what we could do! The safari and feeding of the animals was a great experience for all! We will definitely be coming back and telling our friends to visit 14 Oaks as well!

Our group of 22 enjoyed every moment we spent on this magical ranch! We were well taken care of and there were so many wonderful activities to be had! We enjoyed getting to know Roberta and Terry, who were so thoughtful and worked so hard to make sure that we enjoyed our time at the ranch. There were many activities for the kids and the adults enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful porch! I would highly recommend this magical place!

A great place for big families or friends
We were a set of friends (more like family) that stayed here over the Labor day weekend. We loved the place. The pictures don't do much justice! The porch was our favorite, you (and a lot of you) can sit out there for hours on end. The kids played on the lawn and we were chilling on the porch. Our most favorite part was spending time outside during night. You are surrounded by the ranch lands with no city lights in sight, giving you the most amazing night sky views - from a glimpse of the Milky way, to a clear view of the Hubble telescope and numerous shooting stars... We loved the serenity and the kids loved spotting constellations, planets and stars. We had coyotes howling in the backdrop, but were able to enjoy it all within the safety of the electric fencing they have going around the property :). The fire pit was great too... we spent almost every night out there. We were about a dozen adults and 8 kids. There was plenty of room for us all both in the 8 bedrooms as well in the common areas. They have tons of extra bedding, numerous air beds and sleeping bags. For those who need to escape to privacy, the guest house with it's 4 rooms and baths was a great option. The kitchen counter may be a bit cramped for a lot of cooks, but that's hardly any issue. Terri and Roberta, who are available close by were awesome. Terri gave us a great tour of the ranch and farm - the zebras were a huge hit with kids. They even offered to do a grocery run for us which was super helpful. We can't wait to go back there again.

Ranch fun!
We had 8 families staying at the ranch and it was a fantastic time of relaxing and spending time together. The kids loved all the lawn games and the wading pool and the adults loved that the kids entertained each other so we could hang out and catch up. It was the perfect spot for a large group getaway and there was enough space so that you could be part of a large group or get away for some quiet time if you needed. A note on the setup - the main house has 4 bedrooms and common space and a kitchen and fantastic porch. The second house has 4 bedrooms set up as individual "hotel rooms" each with a separate entrance and bathroom (and no common space). It worked perfectly for our group as we mainly hung out on the porch and around the large dining table.

Family fun at the Ranch!
Had a family reunion with ~ 30 family members and was perfect spot! Debbie, Terry & Roberta were all VERY helpful before and during our stay. Was a very hot weekend, but both houses had AC and good breeze on porch when it cooled down. Nice BBQ and fire pit where we roasted marshmallows for s'mores. We were driven down to feed the animals in the morning in back of pick up trucks which added to our mini safari with our borrowed cowboy hats they have at the ranch. Kids and adults had fun feeding the zebras, cows, alpaca and looking at the beautiful bison. Zebras ran along side of the truck on way down because they knew we were bringing them treats. =) Terry spent hours with us in the afternoon skeet shooting and was patient to show the beginners everything we needed to know. Even grandma shot the gun. Thanks!! Kids had fun running around on green grass having water fight while others played horse shoes or just relaxed on the porch in one of the rocking chairs. House had lots of amenities and closet full of nice blow up mattresses for all to use and few pull out couches too. Had 28 people total sleeping in both houses and it worked great. Note that you will travel several miles on gravel road but it added to the adventure. Directions provided helped everyone arrive even a few when it was dark. Thanks to everyone at 14 Oaks Ranch for making our stay so special and so much fun! You are all great!! =)

Our sincere gratitude to the owners and the caretakers, Roberta and Terry, for the unbelievable hospitality, kindness and genuine friendly attitude during our stay. The ranch is amazing, the accommodations are perfect, the privacy and seclusion is breathtaking. If you want to get away from the hustle of city life, this ranch is perfect. Terry and Roberta make you feel like family and will support you in whatever your needs are. We had 14 people in the main house, and it could not have been better, the horse shoes, the shuffle board, skeet shooting and beauty is 5 star all the way. I would recommend to any/all that are looking for seclusion, whether it is for a team building event or a family get away. Practice on your turkey calls and have fun with the wild turkeys that wonder through the yard. Perfect, thank you so much.

The 14 Oaks Ranch is a slice of heaven. The majestic Butte mountains, rolling green hills, and endless oak trees are incredible. Having the opportunity to feed buffalo, zebras, cows, and horses made it a trip of a lifetime. Terry and Roberta are incredibly hospitable and the house is spacious and comfortable! The experience of staying at 14 Oaks Ranch was a memorable and an unbelievable experience. I can feel myself beginning to unwind in stages, from the busy city life, the moment I arrived. As I entered the main house each room was identified with a theme and was enhanced with western artifacts. It made each room inviting and uniquely charming. Walking to the Indian artifacts was very interesting and a worthwhile stroll. Learning about the mines in the area, nature and the animals that thrive at the foothills of the Sierras was educational. The view from the porch was spectacular. At night you see no city lights but the stars are a show in themselves. Seeing zebra, walking among the buffalo (bison in North America) and feeding them was a new experience I felt by the end of our stay I was gone for 3 times as long and wished I booked my stay longer. I will return...
