Visit to KY

The house was very big, nicely updated. Very clean, convenient location to friends in the area. It was pretty cold the evening we arrived and we were hoping to relax by the fire but we couldn’t turn it on. We found out the next day it wasn’t working and we wouldn’t be able to use it at all. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Comfortable

This was a very comfortable, roomy updated older home. We appreciated the small supplies provided as we needed to do a load of laundry while there. Also appreciated the clear communication before and after our stay, including help from customer service with a question we had during our stay.

Ok place to stay

The house was very clean. There was a weird smell when you first walked in but only in that room. Floors are sloped and drooping in spots because it’s an old house. Handrails going up the stairs were very loose and needing to be repaired before someone really needs to grab on and they let go and they get hurt. Curtains could be hemmed. They’re about a foot longer than the windows. Brass plates for the door knobs need to be screwed in. The kitchen was newly remodeled and very clean. Bathrooms had new floors and toilets and cabinets. Bathrooms could use bath mats on the floor because the laminate floor is very slippery when you walk out the tub. All in all it was a clean old home close to downtown and grocery. Just needs a little more TLC and a good handyman to come in and make some small simple repairs. Also be prepared to do some online background check thing after booking and paying. Kind of weird but whatever.

Good

House was clean, it's an old home that has been remodeled. It's cute, easy communication with the owner, and all around a good stay. Main things were they say that two cars can park and this is not true, only one car fits in the back alley drive way. The neighborhood was a soar eye, but luckily quiet and didn't have any issues. Also, there is a bit of a weird smell in the home. I don't know if it's old pipes or just an old home smell. Other than that it's a good space to stay in.

Hometown nostalgic

Property was as described in pictures. We had a bit of trouble with some lights and appliances not working due to a breaker, but property mgt came first thing in the morning to correct. All bedrooms upstairs and they were quite hot and had to buy box fans. Although it was not a huge deal, I think the home owner should probably supply them in the summer months because it just doesn't get cool up there. That is just a recommendation. Other than that, property was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Honest Review!

The communication from the owners helped make my review better. They did their best to help with any complaints I had and were timely in their responses. I will say this is an older home, be prepared for noise floor creaks, doors that don’t shut all the way, very little AC upstairs, & only one electrical outlet in bedrooms. For a family with kids I wish I would’ve known it was not laid out great for the monitors and many plug in things each kids room needed, it was also impossible to sneak out or down the stairs without the multiple creaking sounds being heard. The house was a great size, I did like how the living area and kitchen were downstairs while bedrooms upstairs but the 2 bathrooms are very small. Overall the owners made it a better experience by being attentive to our complaints but I wish I would’ve had more reviews like this one to read before booking.
