The Space:
It’s where leisurely drives along winding roads end in local towns brimming with quaint shops and delicious eateries. Here in Williamston, it’s also where you’ll find perhaps the most significant attraction of the area: the Ark Encounter! This life-size replica of Noah's Ark is a must-see for visitors, drawing crowds all year round, from all around the world. Featuring interactive exhibits and beautifully crafted biblical displays woven around its expansive grounds, it’s a unique and immersive experience unlike any other.

When you choose to stay at the aptly named Ark Encounter Getaway, you’ll be just 10 minutes from all the action, a charming 2-bedroom home offering the perfect location for your upcoming getaway. In addition to the local scene, life in the big city of Cincinnati is less than a half hour drive north where you can catch a sports game, visit a historical museum, book a tasting at a bourbon distillery, shop to your heart’s content, or plan evening meal at one of the eclectic local restaurants. If you prefer to stay a little more local, the city of Florence is the perfect in-between compromise, only 45 minutes from the home and offering its own desirable selection of shopping and dining.

The home’s cheerful blue exterior is a welcome sign of things to come, its wraparound porch offering the perfect spot for quiet mornings with your fresh cup of coffee or a refreshing evening cocktail while overlooking the lush landscape. Step indoors to find open and modern spaces expertly curated to maximize your downtime between adventures in and around the area. Sink into plush sofa seating with chaise lounge in the living room while you stream all your favorite entertainment on the smart TV. The stylish kitchen features stainless steel appliances alongside plentiful counterspace and cabinetry, making preparation of your favorite homecooked meals a breeze. Gather together at the table for all your formal dining needs or head back outdoors for a meal al fresco at the picnic table as you soak up the sunshine and fresh country air.

This home comfortably sleeps 5 guests between 2 private bedrooms and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Bedroom #1 includes a queen size bed.

Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed.

Less than an hour outside of Cincinnati, this is the perfect location for those seeking access to metropolitan activities while staying in a rural community with serene landscapes. This home is within easy reach of some of Cincinnati’s most popular attractions like the Bengals Stadium, Riverfront Park, and Great American Ballpark. Beyond this central area, there’s still so much more to explore. From Cincinnati’s street art revolution which has transformed neighborhoods with 180+ public murals, to its serious beer culture, revitalized historic neighborhoods with trendy shopping and dining like Over-the-Rhine, and authentic Art Deco architecture and design, this culturally diverse city is a can’t-miss destination.

Back on the Kentucky side of the river, you’re in prime Bourbon Trail territory. Check out distilleries and sipping points where you can sample Northern Kentucky’s bourbon, often paired with traditional southern foods. From Walton, you’re also within an hour of other major metropolitan centers Louisville and Lexington. Make day trips to explore these urban areas, while the home gives you the best of both worlds with its peaceful, countryside setting.

Hello, we drove 2 days from Texas to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. We had an amazing time at both Museums and a comfy stay here in Williamstown.

Sister getaway

Our stay was wonderful. I might make a small suggestion that you place mirrors in the bedrooms. Otherwise the place was excellent.

Little Cabin: just off the beaten path.

We enjoyed our stay. This must be a new rental. It could use a few tweaks...nothing that would prevent a 2nd stay. Several doors swing the wrong way making the light switch hard to access. The fridge door also. The curtain goes into the fridge & very hard to access. No coffee table. We used the bench from the dining room set. Only mirror is in the bathroom. This makes the bathroom the only place to fix hair & makeup. This can cause hold ups.. But overall it was very clean. The host was in constant communication...answering our every need promptly. We liked being out of town and still only minutes away from town. Friendly area. Beautiful country!

Ark Encounter

The bad is that the GPS and the directions that were given actually take you on Meadowlark which takes you to a residence that had a very unhappy man who didn’t like us being on his property. We had to drive back to town to get a signal to call someone. Grand Welcome gave us the same directions that our GPS said. If you go do not take a left on Meadowlark, keep going straight on the gravel road that you were on and you will find the house on the right. It looks like you are going to someone’s residence, but the road curves to the left and will take you to the rental. The other bad thing was the camper that you passed, which is right beside you and it is very trashy but we never saw anyone and never had any trouble out of the person living there. The good is that the house is just like the owners describe it. It is very clean and everything seems new. The beds are comfortable and you have everything that you will need in the house for your stay. It could sleep 6 but there isn’t really room for 6 people to sit in the living room. All in all I would stay here again if I ever visited Kentucky.
