Wonderful hidden gem on the St Johns River. The cutest little cottage right on the water. We loved fishing right off the dock and back porch. Saw tons of birds, manatees, a gator and fish. Highly recommend checking this place out. Host Jim was wonderful to talk too. Definitely plan on going back.
Perfect for bringing our boat to do some fishing and exploring. A great space for the two of us with a beautiful location right on the river, while the boat was secure on the canal side. A fun but peaceful retreat a short boat ride from Renegades.
My husband & I enjoyed the month of March on Sunset. Nice neighborhood, beautiful quiet location. Everything but the bathroom is in one room but it's not crowded and there's a screened in porch the overlooks the canal. Lot's of cable stations & books for rainy days. The onsite managers were extremely helpful & responsive.
Great place to stay and rewind. Did not bring a boat this time but enjoyed the fishing and beautiful sunsets on the dock. Very friendly and quaint neighborhood.
We will be back again
Beautiful location on the St. John's River. Loved being able to keep the boat where we stayed. The cottage is very nice, clean and comes with anything you could need. We look forward to returning.
Only thing I would recommend is to change the sprinkler system time. It’s in at 7 am, the time we were out walking. The location was absolutely beautiful
The cottage vibe, decor & location was superb! We traveled with our 17ft Carolina skiff. Left the trailer at Bass World & kept the skiff at the boathouse during our stay. Enjoyed a 25-35 min boat ride to beautiful Salt Springs & sightseeing neighboring areas. Our 2 rambunctious toddlers enjoyed fishing off the pier & playing on the lawn. The property is a corner lot directly on the water with a big lawn area that I felt safe having 2 toddlers play & run around (while wearing life vests & within my eyesight). Enclosed patio section was great for winding down time or eating while enjoying the beautiful view. The cottage was fully equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Surprisingly, we didn’t need bug repellent. No mosquito or flies on premises!
Neighbors including G & V were genuinely welcoming and not intrusive. The town folks were relatively the same - true southern hospitality! GRACIAS Jim for sharing your space with us. We look forward to returning in the near future!
Fantastic Accommodations! Clean bright and happy. With an amazing king size bed.The most comfortable one we've ever had! Had the most amazing view of the river and sunsets, a very nice dock, and a boat house to keep the boat clean and dry. Although it rained and stormed everyday the rental was so amazing we were still able to enjoy our vacation. There were a number of restaurants close by that were easily accessible by land or water. We Are looking forward to our next trip there.
Had a wonderful vacation! Cottage was so clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything to cook a great meal. Valinda made us feel so welcome. We
Fished off the dock and caught many things including a couple of sting rays.
This property was beyond our expectations. The location with water on most sides was beautiful. Lake George is very vast and runs to the St. John River but don’t quote me on this. It’s fun to watch the boats . Even better if you have your own boat. You have a boathouse and long dock that goes with the property. Very private and quiet. We spent 2 weeks there. The inside was appointed very well with Crate & Barrel or Tommy Bahamas eclectic like furniture. A huge perk was the awesome screen room overlooking all the water areas. The only thing I personally found difficult was to find a good restaurants with quality food. Lots of casual places on the lake and around there that were ok. It depends on your taste. We did more cooking than usual. And a good grocery store is half hour or a little more. But once you know that you can shop on your way inn. It’s stores don’t seem that far away. The refrigerator is awesome and huge. Great cooker and smoker outside. Jim the owner was great. We had some minor issues that were taken care of immediately. Nothing big and Gene the manager was helpful. We are the quiet type and don’t expect things to be perfect. Yes, I would go back and highly recommend staying there. It’s a pretty mixed use area around there but around the cottage it’s all very nice!
We enjoyed our stay. Wished we could have checked in earlier. Checking in at 4pm is late when you need to put your boat in the water and unload. It's like loosing a day. Over all great place though
We only stayed the weekend, but next time we will stay a lot longer ! It was easy to check in and communicate with the owner and manager.
The house was clean and cozy !
We loved it ! Thanks again
We’ll be back
We loved this little cabin on the river. So relaxing and beautiful view. We even caught a few random fish on the canal side. Had some spotty internet a couple nights but nothing too unexpected given the location. Definitely will be back!
This place is everything they advertise. Very quaint cottage with beautiful river views. Good communication with manager, clean and comfortable. We will be back!!
Beautiful property on the water. Cabin was tastefully appointed and very clean. It was a nice relaxing time away with family!
