Old School Minnesota Vacation
Great customer service, Minnesota touch. Private yet there when we needed them. My only knock was extra paperwork website outside of VRBO. Sue was great, had an awesome vacation. The resort, lake and surrounding area had plenty to do.

Great hosts, clean cabins, wonderful location.
If you enjoy being greeted by beautiful, personalized artwork and mouthwatering, homemade salted, chocolate-chunk cookies as you step back in time into a vintage, uniquely appointed cabin with a working Ben Franklin wood stove and screened porch 80 feet from Gull lake then you will appreciate Samara Pointe. The tranquility is priceless and proximity to unique shopping and wonderful restaurants is superb. We will definitely return! restaurants.

Great little getaway
Nice little spot on Gull Lake. Cabins great for a family getaway, perfect to unplug and relax. Fun amenities at the resort- games, canoes, kayaks to use, etc. Cabins are well maintained and have mostly everything you need. We’ll be back again.

Very Pleasant Quiet Lakefront Cabin
We spent four relaxing days at this property. The staff were very attentive and had good recommendations for local activities. Our only concern was the $75 per day extra person charge for a 10 year old girl.

Terrific for a family
Such a family friendly place. Greeted us with presents for the kids, have a shed full of lawn toys, great beach and the water is shallow for a ways out and the kayaks. Classic rustic cabin with a screened in porch. Tim, the maintenance man, asked us if the kids wanted to go fishing and produces two poles with bait. Showed us how to put the bait on the hook and our 5yr old caught her first fish. Close to Nisswa for ice cream and a great bookstore.

Perfect sunsets
My wife and I stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin was built in the 1950’s but is well equipped and has awesome views of the lake. The staff is very helpful with many great ideas for your lake activities. We brought our own boat which we could launch not far from the cabin and keep it at our cabin’s dock for the duration of our stay. Although the fishing wasn’t great, we ate a lot of walleye sandwiches prepared for us at the restaurants along the lakeshore where you can just tie up your boat to the dock and walk in. We saw some bald eagles and a lot of loons. The loon watching was especially excellent as with our boat they often came very near as we just sat there fishing. The cabin has a nice beach with kayaks available and a nice canal trek through the wetlands where we saw deer and lots of birds. The sunsets were magnificent as we dined outside on the picnic table. What a great time!

Little Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time here at Samara Point. Sue is the absolute best host, she took such good care of us, and we can be a little high maintenance:) We had great weather so that made it even more enjoyable. The cabin itself is small by who spends time in the cabin when you have to gorgeous lake to boat on. You have to share a fire ring and I think that was the only downside of this whole resort. Thank you for your hospitality we are looking forward to coming again next year. Allison, Justin and Dalton

Beautifully landscaped property with cute cabins with amazing views
Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Communicated well with us. We brought our 3 young children and this was a perfect first lake weekend for our family. We will definitely return.

A Beautiful location on Gull Lake with great views of the lake
The cabin was very clean and well maintained, These are older cabins that bring you back a few years and that was exactly what I needed, We spent most of our weekend sitting in the screen porch watching the wildlife go by, Unfortunately for us we picked a rainy weekend for our planned motorcycle get together but we found the screen porch to be the next best thing to do in the rain , The management are wonderful people and the Chocolate chip cookies are the best ever! Thanks for the Hospitality!

Quiet and relaxing spot
We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us put our boat in the lake and helped us take it out in the rain. We were also happy to see that they recycle. It's a beautiful location and we will be back.
