It's your perfect stay for the summer (( JUNE-JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER))
This private home was featured as R.I. dream vacation home in 2010. Bright open spacious contemporary barn style home w/an artist's eclectic influence. House includes a large L shape wrap around screened porch, great for entertaining, and relaxation, and in evening (when all is quiet) one can hear the ocean and feel the southwest breeze. The porch leads out to an outdoor Zen shower. House has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms and one half bath. Much of the living area is open space.The kitchen is gallery style w/ stainless steel appliances, light wood cabinets, butcher- block counters, some open shelving and pine floors.The half bath and laundry room are off the kitchen.There is a one bedroom w/a full bath on the first floor.The fireplace is the artist's design a unique mixture of cooper and zinc w/stone & medals. The white bleached moose antlers placed over the fire place ( definitely add a bit of character and completing the look of this fireplace (they are on a dropped copper mount used as a conversation attraction were shed naturally and repurposed as an eco friendly form of art.)The lighting fixtures are signed hand blown glass on salvage industrial medal throughout the house. The owners have filled the walls w/local eclectic original art.The home is staged w/a mixture of art, vintage antiques, and collective decor.
Stairs to second floor have cable-steel railings, which give a nautical feel. there are two stairways , one leads you to an large open loft area used as a combined family room, office, exercise room, it also serves as the artist studio. The master bedroom w/ it's own master bathroom is located on a separate stair way w/ a small catwalk & seating area entrance. The master bath has a separate walk in shower w/ pebble beach/stone floor, the vanity has 2 vessel sinks. The soaking jet tub is built in and surrounded by travertine which adds an organic touch under a large skylight. Home is at the end of a private lane adjacent to a three acre wild flower medow in season. .... THIS HOME IS NOT TO B CONCIDERED A BEACH HOUSE BUT A PRIVATE GET AWAY HOME W/ARTISTIC FLAIR . SORRY TO INFORM ... WE ONLY RENT TO A PARTY OF 2 OR 4 PEOPLE ANY ONE BEYOUND THAT HAS TO B APPROVED & WILL B CHGED AN EXTRA FEE .. SORRY NO FUR BABBIES. Beautiful escape in Little Compton
The property and location exceeded our expectations and were perfect for a visit to Little Compton with our college-age daughter. Abby was incredibly helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking and the house has everything you need for a beach trip. The house is beautifully decorated, full of lovely art and thoughtfully arranged. We loved the screened-in porch for meals. We look forward to staying in this peaceful retreat again!

Luxe Coastal Eclectic!
Great stay! All the best of South Coast RI/MA living! Picturesque pastoral site close to incredible farm stands, lobster pound, beaches and Four Corners for shopping and snacks. House is very well-equipped, has beautiful light, and reflects the heart and soul of the artist-painter. 10/10!

If you have a discerning eye and prefer high quality finishes in the home you rent on vacation then this is the place to rent! If you love and appreciate landscape design, want a peaceful and quiet retreat, this is the house! If you are looking to be close to the beach but not on one, then stay here! And if you really love art and art history, great books to peruse, stay at the Art Barn! And, if you want to walk around naked after using the outdoor shower, this is the place! PRIVATE!! Extraordinary
The home is every bit as charming as advertised, and there is no square inch without evidence of the owner's artistic temperament. It is about a half mile from South Beach/Goose Wing Preserve, which we took advantage of every day. The beach is uncrowded and very beautiful. We had not been to Little Compton/Tiverton for several years, and we found plenty to do. Our host, Abby, was very attentive, and when one minor internet issue arose, she and her husband Len jumped on it. We look forward to returning.

Perfection!
We had a wonderful stay at Abby and Len's Art Barn. The house was absolute perfection. Plenty of cozy nooks for us to each have a good dose of peace and quiet. The backyard with the wildflowers and the bunnies was also a favorite spot to sit and read. The property is on a very quiet private road, and we enjoyed being away from all the sounds of traffic etc. We would stay here again in a heartbeat - and we most deffinitely did not want to leave. Thank you Abby and Len!

The perfect escape
Beautifully designed and built by the owners, this “barn” was delightful to have as our temporary home. Filled with artwork and books on art, it made for a wonderfully relaxing place. We ate most of our meals on the spacious screened-in porch. It was a serene setting and close to a beach and farmers’ market. Abby was a gracious and helpful host, certainly deserving of 5 star status.

A Beautiful Retreat
This is a beautiful home with every creature comfort. The paintings are masterful, the reading selection eclectic and interesting, and the gardens as creatively designed as the house itself. Owners were very accommodating...even buying new yard games after our inquiry of available outdoor activities.

Relaxing Little Compton Retreat
Just an amazing and relaxing way to spend a week in August. The Artful Barn is an idyllic retreat and provides great spaces for sharing meals, fresh air, and reflection. Owners have the house ship shape and well appointed with everything you need to enjoy your time in LC. We will be back!

Great house in Little Compton. Beautiful location peaceful and quiet. Location is convenient to farm stands, beach, and town. Clean and well decorated. Check in and out was very easy and owner got back to us right away with any questions.

From the farms, fields ,stone walls and hay -bales that we see from the road side .... it's the natural beauty one sees and the area has not changed. It's as it was spending my summers here as a child and it's the same today .... Unspoiled.

What makes this property unique

The design to this barn home, is very eclectic and w/it's textures and design. It's a mixture of art and artifacts and flee mkt. finds .... Making it's own statement. Home is not used or intended to b used as a beach house. Rather a relaxed get away !! There r slight changes to art/decor/ due to art showings and outside courtyd. flowers etc. depending on of time of season .
