Welcome to Zoe at Avellanas located in the new development The Enclave at Playa Avellanas. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, with 4 showers! Relax at this beautiful modern home just built in 2023! Floor to ceiling windows overlooking an inviting semi-Olympic pool. Enjoy walks to the beach (15-20 minutes) and experience the beautiful and naturally preserved Playa Avellanas, known for its fantastic surfing, clean and quiet shore, beautiful sunsets, and delicious restaurants on the beach or nearby.
This home was recently built in a brand new community! It is a modern house full of windows and light, featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and 4(!) showers! The primary bathroom has an indoor shower with an attached luxury private outdoor shower. Then there is also an exterior outdoor shower perfect for removing that beach sand before entering the house.
The beautiful kitchen is open to the living and dining area, lined by a wall of windows overlooking the shared semi-olympic size pool. The kitchen island has 5 stools for comfortable seating, and the dining table seats 6 people. The patio outside the expansive glass sliding doors features lounge seating with a coffee table, a swing chair, and an outdoor dining table that seats 6. A charcoal grill also sits on the patio for guests' use.
Each bedroom has its own wall of windows with sliding doors and a little patio. The bedrooms have black-out blinds as well as sheer curtains to ensure our guests are comfortable and well-rested.
As a special gift for our guests, if you book one full week, you’ll receive a free mini photoshoot with our local professional photographer, Isabel, who would document your group on your vacation! Subject to availability. Just ask us upon booking.
We provide starter items for you to use in the house: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, some spices for cooking. If you require anything beyond this, we encourage you to go shopping. Local markets include La Esquina and Playa Avellanas Supermarket. Auto Mercado in Tamarindo has many international items. There are several other supermarkets in between.
We recommend renting a 4X4 vehicle, to easily manage the dirt roads and any road trips you may want to take.
You'll have easy access to Playa Avellanas and the surrounding area.
Some local food spots to note:
1. Lola's restaurant right on the beautiful beach.
2. SoulShine - Mediterranean breakfast/brunch. Best brunch we've had in Costa Rica! Open until 2pm.
3. Barumis - delicious burgers and more.
4. Gregorio's - local Latin American cuisine
5. Il Rústico - excellent Italian cuisine and beautiful atmosphere.
We also have a variety of personal chefs we are happy to book for you. Just let us know if you’re interested.
Things to do:
1. Yoga: 7am yoga is offered twice a week at SoulShine, and 8am yoga is offered 3 times a week at Lola's on their second level, overlooking the serene ocean. We enjoy walking to both locations (20-25 minute walk - great warm up before yoga), but it's also a quick and easy drive. Lola's is $15 per class. SoulShine is donation-based.
2. Surfing: You can also rent surf boards and go surfing on your own or we are happy to connect you with surfing instructors if you’d like.
3. Horseback riding, ATV tours, Jungle ziplines - we can help set any of these up for you.
4. Day trips, hikes and nature excursions are available, and we can provide you with all that information for an absolutely fabulous vacation.
5. Tamarindo - For a bustling nightlife, fantastic culinary experiences, shopping, more beautiful beaches, take a 25-minute drive to the vibrant and popular Tamarindo.
6. Sailing and snorkeling from Tamarindo
7. Ostional - during the rainy season, this is the perfect beach to see thousands of turtles laying eggs. It's about 1.5 hours drive south from our house, and may include crossing a river, so a 4X4 vehicle is encouraged.
8. Diamante Adventure Park - fun zip line park and animal sanctuary near Liberia
The list is endless! If there's anything specific you'd like to do, just ask and we will be happy to help you book and answer any questions.
Welcome to Costa Rica! Expect dirt roads, some bugs, and the utilities may cut in and out from time to time. We recommend renting a 4X4 vehicle. Plan to spend time outside at the pool, at the beach, and connect with nature. Pura Vida!
Our neighborhood is still under construction. While our home will be minimally affected by the next 2 pads being built on the other side of the development, we are offering discounted rates for this reason, as there still may be some daytime construction noise.
Pura Vida!
