The House comes entirely furnished, all you need to do is bring food and drink, maybe your personal bar of soap or your favorite pillow to really make it feel like you`ve come home -- home to the mountains. Just Sit on our large screened in porch and take in all the quiet! At night a cool breeze sways across your skin and the crickets put on a awesome musical display! Most summer nights watch the fireflies flutter about the screen and fly around blindly trying to find a mate, blinking bulbs in the night. Within a mile or so to the South Toe River you can spend the day floating down in a tube or just dunk your feet to the cool mountain waters. Many hiking trails are within reach to hike along with waterfalls to get some selfies on. Centrally located to Asheville, Chimney Rock, GrandFather mtn, or Biltmore take your pick! Horse back riding or drives down the Blueridge parkway are all within reach! This is truly where "springtime spends the summer".

Could not have asked for a nice,r, more quiet getaway. Property manager was easy to get in touch with as needed, the house was spacious and lovely. We LOVED the indoor fire place. Will definitely come back to this house!
Check in was easy, house is comfortable and quite pet friendly with the fenced in yard and screened in porches. Only thing is… no hot tub, at least that we could find, even though it’s in the listing.
Overall the house was pretty nice. I found it a bit dark. One of the bathtubs and one of the pans not clean when we arrived. The requirement to pack out your trash was annoying.
For us that love a mountain house in the area it was perfect. Our dog, Hershey Bear, loved it as well. There is a small part of the shared drive(25yrd, only feels longer for some) that is kind of shaky but not that bad as long as your not driving a low coupe or sedan. Be advised, plan well on groceries, bc you can't just go out quickly to get something you forgot. It's perfect if you do. Communication with the rental management was very easy and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and equipment. We also really enjoyed the outside screened in porch, they even screened in under the deck to keep the buggies away. Plan to eat there a lot. The sunroom was awesome as well, but probably better in colder weather. Overall, we loved it!! Thank you!
House was clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. Everything needed for a relaxing stay was provided and the views were great. Enjoyed having dinner on the back porch. Our only negative was the road leading up to the house, it needs a little help.
First trip to the mountains. Weather was perfect. Loved the sunroom and the large screened deck. Wifi was super fast. Very comfortable house - well stocked. Emerald Village 10 minutes away - lots to see there and get ice cream! Great dinner at Switzerland Inn. It was a great stay but not a lot to do close by so 7 days was a bit too long for us - got tired of driving those crazy mountain roads!
This property was as advertised with the porch being our favorite place to relax. The house was well-equipped. We enjoyed adventuring out to Mt Mitchell, Roaring Fork waterfall, Set Rock Creek Falls, and downtown Burnsville.
The home had amazing space for our family and an absolutely beautiful screened porch. The rooms could have been a little cleaner - dusty in areas - but the home was very well stocked with anything we needed.
House was great and the screened in porch is so awesome! The nights and mornings were cool so we ended up turning the fan on and leaving the doors open to the screened in porch. Breakfast and dinners were great on the porch too. House was very clean and beautifully decorated. Even had a little TV/play area for my granddaughter to hang out in when we were home. Not gonna lie.... house is straight up the mountain and the roads are very curvy but that is a matter of taste and it was exactly where we wanted to be and was so peaceful. Honestly it did not take us very long to learn the area and get used to going up and down the mountain. There are so many things to do that are close by and we also drove into Asheville and Boone.
The property is beautifully decorated and up to date. We, including our dogs, loved the two porches and the fenced in back yard. I would recommend to check on the security lighting as one light was out. We arrived one evening during the rain and had difficulty seeing the staircase. Please make renters aware of the trash disposal process. During our stay the convenience center was closed 2 days with the holiday weekend making it difficult to dispose of our trash. My wife has cancer and has been quite ill. We both found this to be a nice relaxing weekend for her birthday celebration.
The property was great. Great views, peaceful and in good shape. The multiple bedrooms were a must and appreciated by our kids. The spread out room was great and we enjoyed the outdoor screened in porch.
We spent a week at this beautiful home with our four children and dogs. It was so nice having a fenced in yard for the dogs and kids to safely play in. The home felt like a home and not an expensive hotel suite. The host was very helpful and we would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
Everything was as described. The owner was very responsive with any questions o needed answer. The listing needs more pictures of the spectacular VIEWS! We were so pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings were. Thank you for having us!
We were there to explore great Smokey mountain national park. The place was 15 miles away from the north cArolina entrance to the park. The place was immaculate and well equippped. We thoroughly enjoyed our dtay there and would recommend
Unfortunately it rained every day and night. But fortunately we had a comfortable home to hunker down! The pup loved the screened porch-and we did too. The kitchen is probably the best equipped we have seen. The roads are great to the cabin. The lane to the cabin is rough but it's a very short distance. We used our GPS and it took us directly to the cabin. Because of the rain we had a quiet, relaxing vacation. And maybe that is exactly what we needed!
We spent a leisurely week exploring nearby towns and many curvy country roads. We were blessed with perfect fall weather and clear night skies to enjoy the stars. We also enjoyed eating meals in the sunroom, and reading on the porch. It was a great escape from traffic, city noise, and daily resposibilities!
We found the cottage to be well-supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the screen porch is, which is elevated and feels like a treehouse. The kitchen is outfitted with everything needed to cook meals, but there is also takeout available from a resort inn nearby. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible from this location. Although the area is remote we felt very safe, and it was wonderful to bring our pets with us for our stay. I look forward to returning next year.
