SLEEPING
The apartment is laid out as a studio with separate kitchen and bathroom with toilet within the apartment. It is a compact flat with an angled sofa that can be pulled out to form a very comfortable sleeping bed that can lay 2 or even 3 persons. Normal occupancy would be 1 or 2 people, but a 3rd person can also fit in if need be.
QUIETUDE:
The flat is quiet, there is no traffic noise despite the fact that it is in the city core. It makes a great retreat for writing or study.
NOTE:
The place is brand new with brand new furniture and the works and we are still equipping it with things like decoration, pictures, etc. Any suggestions from the guests are more than welcome :)
Guest Access: You will have the place for yourself during your stay. The whole apartment will be available to you. You'll have access to the bed for 2+, dining table/work desk for 4+, equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and toilet. Soap, shampoo, towels and linen are also available. If you are staying more than 5 days, we'll replace the used with clean towels and linen. Any other reasonable assistance is available upon request.

Interaction: You and your co-travelers will be the only occupants of the apartment during your stay, but someone will be available to attend to your needs, on call. We do not live in Niš, but we have family there who keep the place clean and safe for us. Though, sometimes, we use it for ourselves, as guests :) You will not be sharing with any other guests during your stay.

There are a number of historical, cultural, nightlife attractions within the walking distance from our apartment. To name just a few:
Nis Fortress is located in the core of the city, on the bank of the Nisava river. It is one of the best preserved and most beautiful medieval fortresses in central Balkans. 10 min walk.
Skull Tower monument, unique in the world, was built after the Battle of Cegar. The Turks prepared the construction of the tower made of skulls. 15 min walk. visitnis . com/
Tinkers Alley is located in Kopitareva street. It is the only part of the commercial district of old Nis that has been preserved. 5 min walk.
FOOD
You can dine out or order food and get it delivered to the apartment door within 30-45 minutes tops for about 5-7 euros for 2 hungry persons. Below are some restaurants and delivery places we recommend:

Getting Around: GETTING TO NIŠ BY PLANE
Niš Constantine the Great International Airport is getting busier and busier every year. In 2016 it will be connected to European cities: Berlin, Eindhoven, Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Milano, Basel, Bratislava, Malmö. The airport is only 3.5 km away from the central city zone where our apartment is located and is situated on the northern outskirts of Niš, close to the highway leading to Belgrade. It is reachable by the city bus line no. 34. Likewise, you can get a taxi from the airport to the city core (and the other way round) for a very affordable price by European standards (about 3 EUR). Getting from and to the airport is quick and easy: 7 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by bus (no. 34) + 7 minutes walking.

GETTING TO NIŠ BY TRAIN
Niš is well connected to the Serbian and European railroad network. Niš Train Station is located at the city exit leading south to Leskovac and is a 20 minute walk away from the city core, where our apartment is located. If you do not fancy walking that long with your baggage, there are frequent bus lines heading downtown (1, 5, 6, 10). Taxi is not expensive, but we do recommend that you use reliable taxi companies, reachable by phone, and not taxi services offered at the train station exit gates. In the train station building there is a cloakroom (the price is 110 dinars for 24h), a restaurant, a phone booth and an exchange office.

All regional and international buses come to Nis and go from the main bus station in the 12th February street, near the green market and fortress of Niš, 10 minutes walking from the city center.

GETTING TO NIŠ BY CAR
Niš is very well connected by road since it is situated at a European crossroads. The European highway E-75 coming from Hungary branches in two directions near Niš: towards the south, Macedonia and Greece (E-80) and towards the east, along Nišava valley, toward Bulgaria, Turkey and further on to the Middle East. Extending from Niš there are also roads to the northwest (toward Zaječar, Kladovo and Timisoara in Romania) and the southwest (toward the Adriatic Sea).
In Serbia, international drivers need to have their national driving license, vehicle registration certificate, and a valid international insurance policy.
PARKING
There is a free parking space within our building, with only a few spots. Usually there's always enough space. If you don't find a spot there, there is a free parking in the next block of buildings, about 20 meters from the flat. Public parking on the street is also an option for around 8 euros per day. There is also an enclosed, guarded, open space parking a few streets from our apartment for about 0.4 eur per hour and is open 24/7.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN NIŠ:
Taxi in Niš is one of the cheapest means of transportation in Europe. There are no local trains or trams, and the buses are very scarce and crowded, although there is a developed public bus transportation system in Niš and surroundings. If you are partying late somewhere in central Niš, we recommend walking to the apartment - it is close by and safe to walk - however, if you are a bit further, we suggest you call a cab. House Rules:
- This is a residential building with 5-6 apartments per floor, and has people living there who might be sensitive to noise in the evening or at night. Quiet time after 9pm is required :)
- The place can be used to host dinners or similar quiet social events. No parties and similar noisy gatherings allowed, though.
- Smoking allowed on the balcony.
