About this property

Villa La Torre's comfortable, self-contained *Seguito* apartment is rented with TWO DOUBLE BEDROOMS. A cot or infant sleeping arrangements can be available upon request.

The kitchen/dining area included new modern appliances throughout: full washing, laundering, cooking facilities, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. French doors from the kitchen/diner and bedroom one lead onto exclusive-use jasmine covered patio area for al fresco dining area. All set in secure two-acre beautiful private gardens. The private swimming-pool is at the end of the garden.

There will be no other guests staying at the property, or sharing the pool*. A caretaker is available and visits to take care of pool cleaning and any general maintenance needed, as well any help or advice.

Unfortunately disappointed

Our stay was unfortunately a disappointment. Very quickly we found that the property was quite neglected. There were many small things that confirmed that. To name a few... The hygiene in the kitchen was poor. Actually I am not that picky. But the cupboards were dirty, the dishes were still filthy with food leftovers form past visitors. The dishwasher, we had to clean ourselves first (ugh), holes in the sofa blanket, dirty or missing lampshades. The bench at the dining are is dilapidated and the garden is far from well-kept. Of course, we take into account the heat of the summer, but... The very big point was definitely the actually beautiful pool. The pool pump broke on about the 4th day of our stay and was not repaired until the evening before we left. Until then, the pool was not cleaned, which was actually part of the service. We tried it ourselves, but it was impossible given the sizes. The result was a greasy mass of dead insects and leafs - unusable. The owner, with whom we had an exchange on this points and who promised us compensation, quickly shirked her responsibility after our stay. Something can always go wrong, but this was not a fair thing to do. In the end we are sorry to say that the condition of the property and the service promised did not match what was advertised. Even the manager on site, who tried his best confirmend that the property is not in condition for renting. So disappointed before all the non-honourable behavior of the owner. Too bad

Again amazing

After a very good first time in 2019, we had decided to return to this beautiful place. And again it was amazing. The location is perfect, really nice and quite. The pool is great and all for yourself. And the owner Christine is the most lovely and helpfull host So far. We had a wonderfull time and will recommand it to everyone!

Erholung und Erleben pur

Wie schon mehrfach beschrieben ist es ein wundervolles, sehr gut gelegenes Objekt, wo man Ruhe und Sonne genießen kann. Jeden Abend zeigen sich Fasane, Rehe und Wildschweine in unmittelbarer Nähe. Für Ausflüge ist die Lage genial. Interessante Orte, wie Assisi, Perugia, Montepulciano befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Selbst Siena, Florenz und Rom sind recht schnell erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Objekt guten Gewissens jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Ein Traum!

Es waren wundervolle Ferientage in diesem ruhigen und komfortablen Haus. Wir haben an Ausstattung nichts vermisst, und selbst für das erste Frühstück war schon vorgesorgt. Die Hauptattraktion ist der große Pool, der zum Schwimmen geeignet war. Er wurde täglich gepflegt. Der Standort des Hauses war gut geeignet für unsere längeren Ausflüge nach Perugia, Montepulciano, Orvieto und sogar Siena. Pauline war immer ansprechbar und hifsbereit. Nochmals vielen dank! Seit fast 25 Jahren verbringen wir unseren Urlaub meist in Ferienhäusern, aber dieses ist absolut Spitze. A dream! It was a wonderful holiday in this quiet and comfortable house. We did not miss anything and even the first breakfast was taken care of. The main attraction was the large pool, suitable for swimming. It was maintained daily.The location of the house was well suited for our longer trips to Perugia, Montepulciano, Orvieto and even to Siena. Pauline was always approachable and helpful. Thank you once again! For about 25 years we often go in holiday homes, but this one is absolutely top.

Wonderful holiday

Wir haben drei wunderschöne Wochen in der Villa la Torre verbracht. Das Haus liegt inmitten von Feldern mit Blick auf den Lago Trasimeno. Der Pool - mit seinen 13 m Länge - war einfach grandios. Wir haben viele schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht. Nicht weit vom Haus läuft der Fahrradweg, der um den Lago Trasimeno führt (allerdings ist er noch nicht komplett ausgebaut). Der nächste Supermarkt ist in Pineta, das sind ungefähr 6 km. Dort gibt es einen CONAD, in dem es wirklich alles gibt, z. B. auch eine Theke mit frischem Fisch. In Panicarola (3 km entfernt) gibt es einen Bäcker. Außerdem gibt es auch viele gute Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung. Der Empfang durch Pauline war sehr herzlich. Wir wurden mit Prosecco im Kühlschrank und allen notwendigen Zutaten für unser erstes Frühstück überrascht. Nachdem unsere Vermieterin Christine dann angereist war, hatten wir viele schöne gemeinsame Abende mit Christine und ihren Freunden. Wir wurden von allen sehr herzlich aufgenommen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Alles in allem haben wir dort einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht und danken Christine noch einmal ganz herzlich für ihre Gastfreundschaft. Wir bleiben in Verbindung :-). We spent three wonderful weeks at Villa la Torre. The house is surrounded by fields with a view of Lake Trasimeno. The pool - with its 13 m length - was simply terrific. We made many beautiful excursions into the surrounding area. Not far from the house runs the bicycle path that leads around Lago Trasimeno (although it is not yet completely developed). The nearest supermarket is in Pineta, which is about 6 km away. There is a CONAD there, where you can really find everything, e.g. also a counter with fresh fish. In Panicarola (3 km away) there is a bakery. There are also many good restaurants in the vicinity. The welcome by Pauline was very warm. We were surprised with prosecco in the fridge and all the necessary ingredients for our first breakfast. After our host Christine arrived, we had many nice evenings together with Christine and her friends. We were very warmly welcomed by everyone and felt very comfortable. Great garden/pool, but too hot for us

The garden and pool are wonderfull. We really enjoyed our days at the large and beautifull pool. The appartement it self is also nice, but too small for five (three children). We were in the middle of a heat wave, so it was hot. At night it was too hot and no sufficient way to cool/ventilate the house. No decent musquito nets, so opening windows meant the musquito's would come. Too hot when it is 30 degrees at 11 p.m. We didn't cook inside not to get any more heat into the appartement. Communication with the owner and agent was very good, they really tried to make it as comfortable as possible. Thanks! Garden was beautifull, but all dried up, even though there is an extensive irrigation system (that did not work).

Dejligt og hyggeligt hus og dejligt isoleret område. Lækket med egen pool som blev holdt rent hver dag. Naturen er fyldt med dyr som man kunne nyde om aftenen på vej ned for at drikke.

Lovely environment with own pool

Really enjoyed our stay in Mirabella! Chris and Clive, the owners, are always willing to help/advise you with tips to lunch/have dinner/drink a coffee ie where to park in Perugia or elsewhere. The pool is really great. Because of the heat we spend a lot of time in it, so we were pleased with the size of it. Thanks again for the stay!

Spendid stay in Umbria, near Trasimeno Lake

The house is very clean and well cared in every detail. Comfortable beds, large rooms with direct access to the beautiful garden. The structure maintains a cool internal temperature. The pool is fantastic and cared for by someone who comes regularly and to who you can contact for any need. Christine is a very attentive and punctual Host in communications and in making the hospitality impeccable. The context is wonderful: nature, peace and very close to Lake Trasimeno and the most beautiful places in Umbria. We will certainly come back! La casa è curata in ogni dettaglio e pulitissima. Letti comodi, ampie camere con accesso diretto al bellissimo giardino. La struttura mantiene una temperatura interna fresca. La piscina è fantastica e curata da una gentilissima persona che viene regolarmente e a cui ci si può rivolgere per qualsiasi esigenza. Christine è una Host molto attenta e puntuale nelle comunicazioni e nel rendere l'ospitalità impeccabile. Il contesto è meraviglioso: natura, pace, vicinanza al Lago Trasimeno e ai luoghi più belli dell'Umbria. Torneremo sicuramente!

Lovely relaxing holiday with the kids

This is a beautiful place, off the beaten track and surrounded by the Umbrian countryside. The private pool is a great size and and it was wonderful to spend time there with our kids who are just learning to swim. The property is also well placed to explore the surrounding areas - we hired a car and visited Perugia (stunning!), Polvese island - which has small beaches and was great for swimming in Lake Tresimeno and immersing ourselves in the island wildlife - and also the nearby lakeside town of Castiglione Del Lago and the hilltop villages of Panicale and Paciano, which were perfect for meals out. The property itself is comfortable, the gardens are beautiful and the owner was always on hand to answer any questions and to give helpful tips and advice about how to make the most of our week's stay. Would happily recommend.

A relaxing Holiday in a beautiful setting

This is a wonderful place to stay. The apartment is extremely well furnished, and all needs are catered for. Clive and his family were very welcoming and were always on hand to offer advice. We spent a magical day, thanks to them on the lake, sailing and swimming and nothing was too much trouble. The area is enchanting full of historic walled towns, wild flowers, birds and animals, with easy access to wonderful places such as Assisi and Sienna. One of our favourite places to visit was Panicale, a few miles up the road, where we had a number of idyllic lunches in its lovely square. This was our first family holiday to Italy and we were certainly not disappointed and would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Filming Location

I was part of a film crew which took over Villa La Torre's Primo house and Seguito apartment for a month, while sourcing locations for a new US movie set in 15th-century Italy. I've been in this business 32 years, and have to say this was easily the most beautiful, emotive and spectacular countryside I've witnessed. Our director (can't say his name but you'll know him!) is a regular visitor to Seguito; he chose the venue especially and the owners didn't let us down. The renovated house and villa are kept in immaculate condition. Comfortable, fully equipped, and there's a relaxing sense of home in every room. I loved every minute of our stay.

FISHING EXTRAVAGANZA

I went with four friends on a coarse-fishing expedition on Lake Trasimeno. We stayed 21 nights at Villa La Torre's "Seguito" apartment. It's a marvellous secluded holiday home, all mod cons, plenty of storage space for our gear, so convenient for the lake and buying in supplies from Panicale and Panicarola. Decent English guy in charge of the property always on hand when needed - very well up on local sights and amenities, good advice, helped with language, even knew best fishing pegs! - Talking of which, we netted 15lb pike and v-v big perch daily. Days out to Perugia, Florence (Firenze) and Assisi - stunning! - Nearly as good as the fishing!

Magical Days - & Nights!

The website for Villa La Torre's apartment describes this area as magical. We spent four weeks there (extended our intended stay by 10 days!) and have to agree. There's an atmosphere, a feeling, an ambience which we've never experienced anywhere else: to quote the website again - "carefree calm and dreamy peace". We went with younger friends who went missing for most of every day, saling, cycling and fishing on the big beautiful lake which is just a stone's throw from the apartment door. The apartment? Comfortable, everything we needed readily available, easy to use. Nice bedrooms. The place has been converted with obvious painstaking care; and the attention we received on arrival and throughout made us feel like VIPs. Unexpected bonus - the air here is so unpolluted; it's all agriculture and horticulture. There's a delicious quietude. We've never slept so deeply and reinvigoratingly in our lives! - A wonderful place to recharge the batteries. Battery rechargeable

PEACE, BEAUTY & COMFORT

This was the perfect holiday home for us - two adults; two children (4 and 14). Everything in the "Villa La Torre Seguito" apartment is convenient, impeccably clean, and sensibly thought through. The large, secure and secluded gardens were just the thing for our older child, while great progress was mad with the younger one's swimming lessons - the private pool was perfect for his confidence. The surrounding countryside is ... well, no adjectives can describe the sheer visual beauty and spiritual calm we derived from just a simple walk along the utterly gorgeous lake. One of the property owners was never more than minutes away if we needed help, advice and information. Both before and after, he and Chris couldn't do enough for us. Whilst the motif of our own holiday was quiet, calm, privacy and relaxation, the opportunity for excitement and adventure - sailing, cycling, horse-riding, and sightseeing in Perugia and Florence - lay just minutes away. We're so happy to be able to recommend this venue wholeheartedly to anyone who enjoys architecture, history, the peace of unbesmirched nature, great food - and fine wine.
