Charming barn conversion cottage in a beautiful, quiet and rural location
The barn, a former farm building, has been rebuilt and recently converted into an attractive, comfortable holiday cottage and offers a well-equipped kitchen dining room with oak beams and a stone wall, a comfortable sitting room, bedroom (with large double bed) and shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two attic twin bedrooms, and a further shower room. The property forms one side of a range of agricultural buildings in what was the old farmyard. This yard is now an attractive courtyard garden, with lawn area and table and chairs for al fresco dining. The courtyard is adjacent to the owners’ listed home. Many miles of open country and woodland of The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surround the property. The area is ideal for walking riding and biking and although quiet and rural enjoys easy access to Westcott village, and the historic market town of Dorking. With easy access by train to London, and good road access to the South of England and coast, the property is ideal as a base visiting this part of England.

We really enjoyed our stay. The barn is small but cosy and the kitchen was fully equipped. It was a great location to visit Wisley and Windsor Castle and we also enjoyed a few walks straight from the house.
A beautiful rural location in wooded Surrey hills. Perfect for our family christmas get together, lots of space and comfortable for 4 adults (up to 6 possible). Comfortable and good facilities for cooking snd eating,
Lots of great walks on the doorstop - recommend coffee van up the lane,
Beautiful and characterful cottage in the countryside. The owner was very helpful both before and during our stay. Thank you for the provisions and the tasty rock cakes. Our little one appreciated the books and games too!
Lovely owners who made us very welcome with home-baked scones and a fresh bottle of milk. The countryside was beautiful with lovely walks for our dog. The accomodation was great, it was spotlessly clean and the only one slightly negative aspect was that the sofas were too soft and low for our old bones to get out of easily, especially with a disability. We would absolutely recommend this as a lovely place to stay.
As described. The property was lovely. Catered for all our needs. Great garden for dog to run around. Peaceful location....beautiful weather whic was a bonus
We enjoyed our stay in the barn and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. You could walk from the barn along public footpaths/bridleways.
The only criticism would be the settees in the lounge were very uncomfortable to sit on.
Lovely barn conversion with 3 bedrooms, we had the kids in one, the grandparents in the master and ourselves in the double. There was enough space and we dined alfresco in the main. The garden is secure if you have a dog and there is a covered area for bikes etc.
The hosts are lovely and we wanted for nothing. The area is great too, ideal for mountain biking or walking.
Very attractive well presented barn however if anyone in your group has mobility issues, this isn’t the place for you. There is a large step to get into the barn approximately 12” high - my father struggled to get in and we had to get a ramp made to get out of the barn as he wasn’t able to do the step in reverse. The downstairs toilet and shower room again wasn’t suitable for him with his frame which had a lip to get into the room.
A learning curve for me, I did ask if the shower room was en-suite for my disabled father
Next time I need to ask about steps into/in the property- ability to put shower stool in and close door.
For myself, husband and son a nice place to stay.
Lovely converted barn, very well equipped down to the smallest detail (ie boxes of tissues in every room.) Beautifully ironed cotton sheets, good central heating/hot water, charming hosts. No criticisms at all. Thank you for having us and I hope we can come back in the spring.
Lovely property, v clean, with friendly and helpful owners.
Private garden which we enjoyed. Easy access to local walks in beautiful countryside. Pub within walking distance.
Upstairs double might be quite tight for a tall couple but was fine for our 6ft son.
I originally booked the barn conversion for my family to stay in when we attended a family wedding. Myself, my son, daughter in law and my 4 year old granddaughter. Due to my daughter in law being due a baby early September they couldn’t travel and I ended up going with my sister in law. I am 5’ 2” and my sister in law 5’7” so I had to take the double room upstairs with the comb ceiling which was very low and I had to crawl round the bed to get into it. Whilst we enjoyed our stay we were seldom in the house. I would not have been happy to live in it with my family as I would have been worried about my granddaughter coming down steep stairs in the night. It is advertised as sleeps six and it may have 6 beds but I would not have liked to have been there with another 5 adults. The owner Chris was lovely and very helpful to us but I am sorry to say there is insufficient room for 6 adults or a family of 6. The location was beautiful and a 15 minute walk into the village did not pose a problem at all for us.
Idyllisch gelegen, zeer vriendelijke mensen, compleet huis
Het huis ligt op een prachtige plek en gunstig ten op zichte van Londen. De omgeving is rustig. Het huisje zelf is schoon en met liefde ingericht. Alles is aanwezig. Heerlijk schoon linnengoed. Bij aankomst staan de eigen gebakken koekjes klaar. We werden hartelijk ontvangen.

authentic barn with everything you need inside. spacious, light and quiet.
We combined the best of two worlds: the sightseeing of London with the traffic and lots of people, and the quiet homecoming to the barn with the nature. Transportation with the train to London was easy from Dorking or another station in the area. Greetings fam Noens from Belgium

Stunning
Absolutely loved the cottage, it was beautifully decorated and even though it was freezing outside we were very warm and cosy inside. We were kindly left homemade rock cakes which was a lovely touch. Our host recommended a fab pub "The Plough" for an impromptu evening meal and it was superb. The scenery around the local area is beautiful - great for walking our dog - we would love to return in the near future

Beautiful compact and cosy conversion
Really charming conversion, the owners helped out with things we had forgotten quickly and efficiently and were also really friendly and welcoming. The area is perfect for walks and nearby Dorking is good for shops etc. A very restful stay. Would recommend.

An ideal way to start married life
The Barn was the base for our wedding weekend.
The groom and best man stayed on Friday night; the grooms team got ready there on the Saturday and then the newly weds returned for the Saturday and Sunday to relax after the wedding.
The Barn was perfect. Plenty of space but cosy; quite but not far off the beaten track.
Chris was a great host and very flexible with our needs for the weekend. The rock cakes were lovely and the roses on the table even match our wedding colour scheme!
Thank you so much for helping to make our start to married life so memorable.

A truly relaxing stay in a perfect setting
We have just returned from a 3 night stay in the barn conversion located in a quiet lane close to the Surrey Hills. It was so quiet and peaceful and yet only a short drive to Dorking. The scenery is spectacular and would recommend visiting in Autumn to get the most from the amazing colours of the turning leaves. The barn is cosy and warm, is equipped with everything you need. The local pubs serve food that is too tempting to resist and we will certainly return to do some more walking and cycling. The owners greeted us warmly and were around to answer any questions or offer good advice on surrounding area. Brilliant place for a short break.

Best country retreat ever!
Such a lovely cottage in the most beautiful scenery - we enjoyed our stay so much! The interior of the cottage is very cosy and stylish. Everything is provided for, we did not miss a thing! The hosts, who live next door, were highly attentive and caring. Home-made cake and milk were waiting on the table upon our arrival. They even lent us their own bikes to go on a tour in the stunning countryside and invited our kids to take a look at their piglets. Thank you very much, Nicky and Chris!

Great family location, well equipped, lovely barn conversion
Visiting relatives in the area and needed a place for a family of 5 - this was a fabulous location, and a lovely place to stay. The house is well equipped and generously provisioned with all the basics needed for a stay. The owner was really helpful and accommodating which was great as we were landing early from a very long flight from Australia. Some lovely walks (runs) on the doorstep, and beautiful countryside - I would never have thought of a holiday in Westcott when I lived nearby but it felt like a million miles away from the outside world - would definitely book this again.
This is a lovely rust barn, very clean and comfortable. Such hospitable owners who realise the little things that are important. Six of us stayed at the venue, which has all the necessary mod cons. The barn is set in a rural location of the beaten track but perfect for a relaxing countryside retreat. Thank you Chris the owner, we had a lovely few days.
