Lovely proximity to Freeport town centre. Walked to restaurants in the evening and greeted by friendly people. Great places to explore around the coast too
The perfect location, 15 min walk to downtown shops and restaurants, also right off highway/easy access, but quiet /pleasant neighborhood. House was stocked with everything you need, fantastic! Great backyard for relaxing. The whole family enjoyed the stay!
If you are looking for the perfect stay for a besties trip in Freeport, look no further. On a beautiful lot in the trees and walkable to shops and restaurants, this adorable home will encourage you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
We had a great experience at this cozy home in Freeport. The house was as advertised and was a very easy walk into town to shops and restaurants. The fully fenced yard was great for our dog, too.
We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It is small, but had everything we needed and a lot of care was put into making it comfortable. The fenced backyard was great for our dog, and we enjoyed being able to walk to town.
Came up for Memorial Day weekend. Perfect place for three of us. Home was fully equipped and had everything we needed. Close to all shops downtown. We would stay here again.
This is a perfect house for adventuring in and around Freeport. It's cosy, has all the amenities you need, including a great backyard for my dogs to roam in. It's easily walkable to LL Bean and nearby stores, and is a quick drive to and from Portland. Thanks so much for a great stay!
This place was perfect for us! It had everything we needed and was so close to the venue where the wedding was. The house was absolutely clean and tidy, perfectly and thoughtfully appointed, and quiet. Outstanding. If we are ever back in the neighborhood, we would love to stay here again!
My husband and children ( 2 young adults) enjoyed our stay in this property in Freeport. The house was clean and had everything ( clean linens, towels, cooking utensils/dishes) we needed for our 4 night stay. Although the weather did not allow much backyard time in the evening to use the firepit area, the porch had comfortable furniture that we enjoyed use of in the morning. The location is close to town and allowed us the opportunity to walk into town on sidewalks and avoid the parking and traffic. It was also a great location which allowed us to travel and spend time in Portland and Boothbay Harbor. The owner was easy to contact and answered all my questions quickly prior to booking. We would return again to this property and would recommend to our family/friends.
We needed a small place to stay for two months while we helped our daughter with her new twins. The location was perfect. A quick walk into the cute town of Freeport. Nice restaurants. Close to our daughter’s in Brunswick.
Tom is great with communication. Answers immediately. Easy check in and check out.
It worked out perfect for us. 👍
The house was small but provided all the essentials for a weeks stay. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants but slightly farther than expected. There are sidewalks the entire way. My husband and I stayed but the house would definitely have accommodated our two kids as well. We’ll definitely consider staying here again when we visit Freeport in the future.
Cottage was in ideal location to walk to shops & restaurants. It was an easy drive to reach coastal communities and Portland. The photos of the backyard don’t do it justice - it was even more lovely and serene.
For older folks, it’s important to know the bedrooms are upstairs and the only bathroom is down.
Kitchen equipment is a hodge podge. Lacking an easy/ convenient coffee maker ( like an easy to use drip machine or Kuerig); only a few mason jars for drinkware. Basic appliance instructions would be helpful.

Freeport Stay
We did not realize the house was 2 stories with the bedrooms were upstairs and bathroom downstairs. The stairs were difficult for us to navigate. Had I known about it being multiple stories, I would not have booked this house. It was clean and comfortable for the 3 days we were there. The house was small but it fit our needs and was very convenient to shopping which we came to Freeport to do.
Easy check in and easy access to the property. Quiet neighborhood. Great location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to freeway. The owner thought of everything that we might need. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay there again.
Beautiful little house, just the right size for three. My cousins and I did a long weekend here and explored Freeport. We walked into town for the day and did a quick drive to the grocery store to get some last minute things to bake a pie (oven worked great). It’s a very cozy and clean place to stay. Check in and check out process was wicked easy, would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here with my 2 children while they attended LL Bean camp, and I worked during the day while walking into Freeport to shop or grab lunch. The house was comfortable, in a great location, and had everything we needed for a great stay. We had a small issue with the dryer not working, which was a bit of an inconvenience, but the owners were very responsive and apologetic. We are already planning a return visit for next year.
We enjoyed our stay here. Despite some last minute circumstances in our lives that almost torpedoed our vacation we were able to spend a splendid 5 nights here. We enjoyed hiking at nearby State Parks and close by in Portland, as well as the niceties in Freeport, which we could walk to. The property is as advertised. Cozy, comfortable. You don't really need a lot of space if you don't plan on hanging out all day. Thanks!
We were pleasantly surprised at how convenient the location was to downtown and since we brought our dog the school sports field was right next door to walk him. Overall a great place! A half bath upstairs would have been nice but that’s about it
We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage. The home is beautiful with lots of space. The deck and backyard were wonderful spots to relax in. The cottage is located on a very quiet street and really close to all the shops and restaurants in Freeport. The only thing that surprised us was that the home is two story. It wasn’t an issue for us, but could be for some. The check in/check out process was so easy. We would stay here again if the opportunity arises.
