Bear Den in Seward less than 7 miles from the Waterfront!!

The unit is completely furnished. Set in the woods. All you need to bring is your clothes and food. We are only 7 miles from the waterfront.
Grassy areas.

This unit is 850 sqft and has all new furniture and pots and pans.
Freshly painted and close to everything!
Looking to see Moose we have them weekly in the yard enjoying the plants and green grass. If you visit in the winter time you covered parking and pull in as well.

Disappointing, based on pictures

The property is hodge podge. While all the pictures are accurate, there's a lot of debris and clutter all over the yard and outside areas that was not pictured. Likewise, the interior is dated, and warn. This was not at all like other homes where we have stayed.

Nice place to stay outside of Seward. There are other guest units on the property. Check-in was smooth. The host quickly helped us out when we requested. I Would recommend this location to others.

Very clean and well kept property. The owner and hostess were available and friendly.

We stayed 3 nights and found the property to be reasonably located for access to town, the harbor and sockeye salmon fishing. We took a water taxi to Miller’s Landing and enjoyed some kayaking.

Great basecamp for Seward adventures

This was a great spot about ten minutes from the Seward waterfront. We had everything we needed and appreciated the special touches. If it hadn't been raining we would have loved to have taken advantage of the outdoor sitting areas and fire pit.

Great place outside Seward

Angela does a great job of anticipating guests’ needs in this cozy place outside Seward. The added expense of paying for insurance was a bit annoying, but the apartment was still a good value, and it was extremely well maintained. My family of five enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Nice place close to Seward

Very nice place to stay. It felt like we were in the forest and yet close to Seward for activities. Enjoyed sitting outside at the end of the day. Russel was very friendly and accommodating with anything we needed as well as with suggestions for us. The only thing I can say we were disappointed with was that we had to put down 2 security deposits or buy insurance. We weren't used to having to do this. Otherwise we loved our stay and would go again.

A Great Place to Stay in Seward

What a great place! Quiet, spacious, in the woods, yet convenient by car to the town center, the port, the glacier, the Safeway, shops, and other areas in town, just a few minutes away. Angela has thought of everything.....from coffee beans to toothbrushes for everyone! Very comfortable for our 2-night stay. Thank you, Angela!!

Very clean and comfortable unit.

The Bear Den is a comfortable and cozy unit with nice grounds. We stayed two nights. We were surprised by the check-in being 6:00 pm but check-out was 1:00 pm so that helped off set the inconvenience. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything one would need to prepare meals. The futon in living room is not comfortable and the legs on the kitchen chairs are weak but otherwise the decor is cheerful and up to date. Although it was raining throughout our stay and we choose not to be outdoors, the porch, fire pit and BBQ were very nice features. The location is close to downtown Seward and very close to the awesome Lost Lake trailhead.

Awesome place to stay in Seward. Close and convenient to town while being quietly nestled in the woods. *MORE* than "all the comforts of home". *BEST* stocked 'home away from home' with all the comforts of home and much more. Comfy unit 7-10 min north of Seward

Located about 7-10 min north of downtown Seward, this place had everything that we needed. It was clean, cozy, and Angela's decor made for a very welcoming environment. Washer/Dryer is coin-operated, so don't forget to load up on quarters before you get there ($3.50 for wash and dry). Angela provides detergent and fabric softener. This is a downstairs unit so you will hear the folks above you. We brought a sound machine for our daughters so it didn't impact their sleep. Pots, pans and utensils - all provided.

Comfortable for 2 couples

We stayed in the Bear Den June 3-6, 2018 . This property is nice and quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee, tea,spices etc were all supplied. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable, the futons in the living room are awful to sit on, I can't imagine trying to sleep on them. Beware of the rug in the bathroom as it does not have grippers and will slide out from under you as you step out of the shower. The laundry facilities were unavailable for our stay which was disappointing as we'd just gotten off the cruise ship and had intended to wash a load or 2. There are a few things that need a bit of attention for safety's sake, (bathroom and living room rugs), but all things considered, this was a nice rental and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Angela :)

Perfect for a party of 4

My husband, daughter, mother in law, & I stayed at The Bear’s Den for Mother’s Day weekend. The apartment was small but perfect for our party of 4. It was very clean and cheerfully decorated. Appliances in the kitchen appeared new. The kitchen also had plenty of dishes, silverware, and pots & pans (although we wished they had a wine opener). Plenty of parking and easy to find. The only negative was the living room furniture. We are not fans of the futons. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable stay during the Labor Day weekend

Bear Den in Seward is very well maintained. The Host Angela is very helpful and friendly. She sent us timely communication about the unit and gave us all the details that we needed before we arrived. Even during the stay, Angela was very responsive to all our questions and very friendly. Our stay of two nights at the Den was very very comfortable. The unit was very well maintained. The couch, mattresses in the rooms, carpet, kitchen with the cutlery were very clean and felt new. A nice quiet and cozy place for anyone that wants to travel to Seward. It is quite close to Downtown Seward. We enjoyed our stay and we will surely look out to book our stay at Bear Den, should we plan to travel to Seward in the future.

Cute retreat

We stayed here for the Lost Lake Race and it was a great location for that race! Awesome TV and comfy beds :) The owner is quick to respond and very accommodating!
