Sleeping Accommodations-
There is a queen bed in a room with a door that is perfect for the parents. If you're traveling with kids, they will be best suited on the twin bunk bed setup which is located in the main living area of the cabin. If you're traveling with four adults it may be most comfortable to use the lofted space with the twin mattress in the loft space.

Bathroom-
There is a full bathroom with a stand up shower, toilet, storage shelves, and a sink. We offer soaps, towels, paper products for your convenience.

Outdoor enjoyment-
You are welcome to explore the land directly around the cabin and the land leading to the river. Please do your best to keep off the grass directly surrounding the cabin as we are working on growing new grass. Explore the area at your own discretion. Keep in mind wildlife will be within sight and earshot while in and around the cabin. Please keep your distance from the other cabin as guests are likely enjoying their private time there as well.

You will have access to the entire first cabin and the land immediately around the cabin. You are welcome to adventure down to the river as the property is owned by the owner of the cabins. However, there is a barbed wire fence and there may be cows in the field. So, please only venture down there at your discretion.

Inside the cabin, please do not access the storage totes under the twin bed and the tote in the loft that are labeled "No Guest Access" storage space is limited inside the cabin and expect that you respect our items that are stored for our turnover cleaning process only.

We will not be available on-site during your stay as we live in Sioux Falls, 30 minutes away. In case of an emergency, please call 911 for professional services. For non-emergencies, we are available 24/7 via call, text, or email. Response times may vary depending on the situation.

Cabin
The cabin comfortably sleeps four guests. Additional guests are not allowed, except for infants who can occupy a pack 'n play. The cabin features a lot of natural, exposed wood, which may cause slivers, stubbed toes, or scrapes from sharp edges. Guests with limited mobility might find the small spaces challenging to navigate. The lofted area can be hazardous for infants and young children; you can move the ladder in the loft to prevent access, if needed.

Activities
Hunting is not allowed on the property at any time. Fishing is permitted at the creek, but it requires a walk to reach. Enjoy activities such as playing games, drawing, writing, listening to music, meditating, relaxing in the hot tub, taking small walks in the prairie, and observing wildlife. A quick 8 minute drive will bring you to East Lake Vermillion where there is public access to a beach, fishing docks, restrooms, volleyball court, picnic tables and a shelter.

Resources
The nearest town is about 10-15 minutes away, but there are no gas stations or laundromats nearby. Any services you may need will require a 10+ minute drive. Our guidebook includes recommendations for local bars and restaurants.

Bugs
You will encounter bugs during your stay, both inside and outside the cabin. Expect to see spiders, mosquitoes, flies, and various other insects native to South Dakota. While we provide bug spray, we highly recommend bringing your own for added protection.

Wildlife
During your stay, you may encounter various wildlife. In the field, you might see cows, snakes, raccoons, coyotes, foxes, rabbits, prairie dogs, and more. Remember, we are in their natural environment, so please be mindful and respectful of their space.
