Charming Cottage in the Heart of the Historic District. Wonderful Getaway

Little Cottage with Big Charm. Two bedroom cottage with King Bed in one and Large Twins in one. Great kitchen for eating in or dine in one of our many wonderful local eateries. One bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Washer/dryer. Very comfortable furnishings with some antiques and local art. Outdoor patio for nice mornings or evenings. Stay in the Heart of the Historic District. Steps from everything.
Jefferson Tx. is the 5th oldest town in Texas. Jefferson is located right on the Big Cypress River. We are only three hours from Dallas Tx. We are one hour from Shreveport La. We are four hours from Houston Tx. Nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
Jefferson was founded in the early 1840's. Once a bustling River Port town, but now a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. Jefferson has something for everyone, wonderful selection of antique and eclectic shops. The dining selections are from very fancy to very funky, all yummy. Live music on the weekends at many places. Great Historic homes, some on tour and a Great Museum. Riverboat rides,Carriage Rides and Ghost Walks, call for times and dates.
We are about twelve miles to Caddo Lake and about 12 miles to Lake of the Pines.
Come stay for the weekend or for the week. Make our little cottage a home base for so many great things to do in this area.

The house was in great location,but not well taken care of, in need of cleaning outside deck and patio. We did stay two nights but when I killed two small spiders and a large bug, we decided to leave. We had it rented for 3 nights but left after 2. It wasn’t a good stay so will be a little more picky next time, even though the reviews were sounded good.

2025 Mardi Gras Blast

We've been coming to Jefferson for 3 years now and this place and the weather was the best so far!!! We absolutely loved the cozy and charming cottage. We loved the neat little hang out room and the record player. We could tell Anna must be a book lover, there were plenty of novels to read. The King size bed was very comfortable, and Anna had left us snacks, wonderful chocolate pralines and even milk! It was also close enough to just walk to all the shops and Annie SkinnersDefinitely we will be booking this place again.

Perfect location

The house was located one block from all the downtown shopping so perfect location. The kitchen had plenty of coffee and a few snacks that was unexpected, but appreciated. We enjoyed the house - very well done.

Great get away!

We enjoyed our stay and could not have asked for nicer hosts. They checked on us everyday to see if we needed anything. Air conditioning was great during a very hot week and the comfort of the bed was great. Enjoyed being close to downtown. Was a good trip.

Perfect Location

This house is the perfect place to getaway and enjoy Jefferson! The location is convenient to everything. We walked pretty much everywhere we went. The house is spotless and decorated with such personality! All of the details and amenities needed were provided and accessible. If we are back in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

Best Location

This charming cottage has everything you need. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, 2 nice social areas and a great outside patio with a table, seating, etc. It is located right on the edge of the historic downtown You can basically walk everywhere. ANNA IS A GREAT HOST. She provided a nice basket of snacks, coffee, creamer, etc., and is very responsive. The king bed is very comfortable, the shower runs hot and full. This was our second stay and if we make it back to Jefferson? We'll try to get this place again!

Anna’s Cottages

I very rarely have left anything less than 4 stars for a home. If you had asked us midway through our trip, we would have said we would have come back, however towards the end of the trip our answer has changed. I will start with the positives. The listing for this house does not do it justice at all. There is a lot of space for a smaller home, and it has two sitting rooms you don’t even see in the listing, so that was a pleasant surprise. Myself, my husband and our two young children stayed here very comfortably! The proximity to downtown Jefferson is unmatched, everything is within walking distance! Our first night/morning we did not have any wash clothes for our showers or hand towels, but they were dropped of later in the day. Sadly on the third night of our stay the AC went out and we spent two nights without it. It was 80 degrees in the house, with windows you can’t open. The homeowner did bring us fans, and sent out a maintenance guy but he didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He was not able to fix it until we were checking out and we didn’t hear back from host until well after we left. On our last night the smoke detector began chirping for low battery in the middle of the night and there was no replacement battery, so we ended our trip on a bad note. There were some cleaning issues with a lot of dust bunnies and dead bugs in corners. This may just have been an off week, but sadly I can’t rate the home higher and I’m not sure we would be interested in coming back.

Quaint Little Cottage & Best Location!!

This little gem of a house was perfect for our sister trip to Jefferson, Texas for the Candlelight Tour of Homes. It was located within walking distance to the downtown stores and all the restaurants. The owner, Anna, was available to answer any questions that we needed during our stay. It’s an older house so we felt like we were staying at our grandparents, which made us feel right at home.
