Perfect location. Not far from town, yet secluded. Very clean, and has 4 beds. Nice yard too. The trees block the mountain views, but we were in the park hiking so that detail didn't matter to us. Host was easy to contact and quick to respond

Close to Glacier National Park
As we pulled into the property Steve was there to meet us and personally show us around the house. The electricity flickered do to some wind and Steve was back quickly since he lives just a few hundred feet away to show us where the flashlights are
Convenient location between GNP and airport and towns with restaurants/grocery stores. Quiet location for a peaceful nights sleep. Full kitchen for cooking and a nice gas grill on the deck.
We enjoyed our stay at the Glacier View Vacation Home. The home was a welcome oasis from the crowds at Glacier NP, and it was super handy to access the park or the dining in Columbia Falls. The home was clean and spacious, with a nice deck for enjoying the morning and evening breezes. The host has some hummingbird feeders, and we enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds up close. The host was friendly and willing to give us some tips on where to go (he was right, Bowman Lake was worth the trip!). I would definitely book here again.

Not worth the money
Paid $1,000. + for two nights. Bathroom and kitchen were clean so that's good. The house smells musty, is extremely dated and with mismatched flooring, furniture; which is fine for a cheaper price. Linens are colored (can't be bleached clean) and cheap. Towels are well used, dingy white, washcloths are all mismatched retro colored (well used), and the kitchen towels are tired and visibly dingy. Pillows, the worst thing; they were tired, well used, flat, and dingy. I was not excited to lay my head there. View is 95% tall trees, no fires allowed due to forest fire risk. Inside the house is aesthetically uncomfortable - felt dingy even though it was not dirty. Broken, cracked old bedside table lampshade. Ex: retro blue bathtub, lemon yellow vinyl floor, brick red and gold sponge painted accent wall, and large chocolate brown and tan shower tiles in the top floor bathroom. For the money, we were ripped off. It was mostly the gross towels and pillows.
A great cabin in close proximity to Glacier National Park. The host was kind and the accommodations were homey and welcoming. I would recommend this place for anywhere from 2-4 people.
Nestled in the quiet forest near Glacier National Park entrance, this home was perfect for our family getaway and birthday celebrations. Nearby town and very responsive host, made for a comfortable stay. Would definitely book again.
The check in process was quick and easy. We came in after dark, so it was difficult to know where to park. We couldn’t tell where the driveway and the grass met. We had contacted the owner at the time of booking to see about a future stay, and instead of responding to the post, a woman came to our door late on the last night asking if we still wanted the future stay. The house was clean, quaint, and had everything that we needed. It’s in a remote area.
Perfect location for going into Glacier National Park. Lots of room in the house for 4 adults. Just be aware that no condiments are provided so you need to buy everything. Owner (Jeff) stopped over to check that we had no issues or questions. I would tell anyone that asks to book this house for their stay!
We had a great time in Columbia Falls! Our stay was comfortable and cozy yet spacious and very clean! Owners were very gracious and had recommendations for groceries and places to see during our visit including “The Road to the Sun” at Glacier National Park and places to hike! Can’t forget the Huckleberry Bear Claws in Polebridge!
This was our 2nd trip to Glacier and we wanted something closer to the park this time. This fit the bill perfectly....west Glacier entrance, groceries and dining in Columbia Falls, day trip to Whitefish for shopping, all within short drives. Host was very responsive and helpful up to and during our rental. Really enjoyed the solitude, serenity and views. Also made several trip to Blankenship bridge since it was so close. House provided all we needed for another wonderful week at GNP.
The house was clean and comfortable with enough room for five adults to spread out. The location is quiet and private. You do have views of the peaks on a clear day! The house is centrally located between Glacier National Park and Columbia Falls. Just a quick 10-15 minute drive to either. Steve, the host, is a great guy and was spot on with his restaurant recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!

Pretty good
The property is dated, but very clean. The location is very good if you are planning to enjoy glacier National Park and the surrounding area. My issue was that the listing did not say the owner would be on-site. He is in a cabin/small shed at the front of the property. So he is essentially part of your vacation. Also, if you are booking with pets, for some reason, the website does not charge you the full pet deposit, so the owner was there asking for payment right away. Also, it did not say you would be responsible for feeding the owners fish while you were staying in the house. The week we stayed there, the temp was in the 90s everyday, and there is no AC at all on property. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Montana. But this would not be a place we booked again.
If you have a clear sky you will be able to see the stars. Cabin location is dark skies friendly. We got to see a deer and some cool birds during our stay.
Cabin was very clean and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The property owner stays on property with you in their own cabin. If you are looking for something more remote or private this may not be a the place for you. We were also encouraged to take it easy on the water because of limited water resources. This made it hard to take a hot relaxing shower after a long day of hiking in Glacier because we felt like we had to rush to use less water.
Other than that it had a lot to offer, great windows and outdoor space, lots of natural light, and in situ wilderness vibes.
Great location from the west entrance to Glacier. Comfortable place to stay.

About the host
Hosted by Steven Kuehl
Being an avid fisherman all my life, it was my dream to live in rual Montana. I appreciate the fresh air and the peace that living in a remote location brings.
Why they chose this property
I chose this house to raise my two children. It was one of the first in the area with running water and indoor plumbing. I wanted them to grow up using their imagination. They would climb trees and dance in the rain as children.
What makes this property unique
The view from the porch was the most striking feature. It was a beautiful place to come home to and relax by the fire after a work day. The level of creativity that comes from nature is breath taking.
