Five Points Dawg Crib On Campus

Summary:
Fully immerse yourself in the spirit of the Dawgs in this fun 2-bedroom condo located in the popular and convenient neighborhood of Five Points. You’ll be within walking distance to not only many popular restaurants and bars but just 1 mile away from Sanford Stadium and the UGA campus making trips to and from visiting friends and family or traveling to the big game safely and easily.

The Space:
Your exploration doesn’t have to stop at the campus, however, as downtown Athens has so much more to offer! The city’s rich history can be found all throughout whether you want to leisurely stroll the streets on your own or engage in one of the many guided tours. When you need a break, the home will be waiting to provide you with a welcome retreat to get the most out of your downtime.

Decorated in an upbeat yet sophisticated UGA theme, you’ll be surrounded by great memories and fired up to cheer on the Dawgs during whichever sporting event you’re in town to witness. Step through the front door into a cozy living room with comfortable sofa seating with mounted smart TV – a setting perfect for pregaming before heading out for the day’s adventures. A dining room table with seating for 6 can play host to a raucous round of games as well as serve as a formal setting for mealtime. Round the corner into the spacious kitchen, well-equipped with all standard appliances, cookware, and dining ware for when you need to whip up a quick bite on the go or try out takeout from a local restaurant. Make a stop at the coffee maker and take your cup onto the quaint back patio to enjoy a quiet morning at the café table for 2.

This home comfortably sleeps 6 guests between 2 private bedrooms.

Bedroom #1 includes a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo.

Bedroom #2 includes 2 full size beds.

The home also includes an additional full bath with a single vanity and shower/tub combo.

THINGS TO NOTE:
- Washer and dryer in home.
- Parking in the lot is available for 1 vehicle. A parking pass is required on football weekends and will be in the unit upon arrival. The pass must be returned in order to avoid a $100 fine.

Although Athens is the highly regarded hometown of the Dawgs, it’s much more than just an awesome college town. Visitors will love strolling through campus and cheering on the red-and-black at one of the town’s many football bars, but Athens is also one of the most predominant cultural hubs in the state of Georgia.

The city boasts iconic historical establishments like the Morton Theater, one of the first and still operational vaudeville theaters to be built, owned, and operated by an African American. Other notable institutions of the arts include the Georgia Museum of Art and the Georgia Theater. USA Today named Athens as one of the most underrated food destinations in the country, and you’ll want to take an extensive food tour of the local spots to understand why. Follow that with a bar hop to popular breweries and you’ll know why Athens is loved by locals, visitors, and college students alike.

GA Short Course Swim Championship weekend

We stayed in this condo for a 3-day championship swim meet held at the UGA natatorium. The location was very close to UGA and the 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds was perfect for my daughter and her teammate. We utilized the kitchen for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. I had to get a little creative bc there were no tops to pans nor was there a toaster, but we were none the worse for wear and had a fantastic weekend. Anyone who loves UGA football will relish the place with all the amazing memorabilia from, it seems, a family whose son played for the Bulldogs. I highly recommend this property.

Unclean and Not as Advertised

We came to Athens to visit our daughter for her sorority's parents weekend. We were excited to find this VRBO near her sorority house and five points. The first signal that this visit would not be ideal is that I had to ask for the check in information at 4pm the day of, realizing it had not been sent to me at check in time. Then, when we arrived at the unit around 5:30, we realized the unit had not been cleaned since the last people had stayed there. The beds were messy, the towels were wet and mildewed in the washing machine, and the trash was spilling out on the floor. Old food was in the refrigerator. The bathrooms were filthy, and the bathroom trash was overflowing. To make matters worse, there was a putrid smell in the unit from matter that had not been flushed in the toilet. I did reach out immediately for assistance, but since March 21 have not had any response for a discount or refund. We did receive an apology. It seems there is a problem with the property management business that this unit is using. We had nowhere else to go, and hotels were all booked. I cleaned the apartment myself, and washed the sheets and towels myself. We have not received any refund or discount.
