Great for a couple’s getaway

We took a few nights away with another couple we’ve known and vacationed with for decades. Though we’re very close, it is important to note the rooms of the upper floor of this property are completely open to the vaulted ceiling. So, if you walk from the kitchen to any of the three upper floor bedrooms, you can easily continue your conversation without raising your voice…. That said, there is a queen bedroom and separate full bath on the ground floor and a fun game room. So, bedroom privacy was possible downstairs. The kitchen and outdoor cooking options were great and we prepared some really great food! The owner was very responsive when we needed an extension cord to add air to the master bed air mattress, which was a surprise discovery. The Keurig pictured was not in the kitchen when we arrived so don’t plan on that. Though, on our last night it was discovered in a ground floor closet while looking for another blanket because the ground floor heat is run by the upstairs thermostat. All in all we enjoyed playing pool and darts, sipping good drinks, making great food, and lots of laughs! We never even turned on the huge TV in the upstairs great room!Knowing what we learned along the way about this property, we’d definitely stay here again and start the trip in the know rather than feeling our way through some of the nuances of this unique place.

Why they chose this property

We chose this piece of property for the beauty it has to offer. From the hills to the gorgeous rocks and hiking trails. We love that it is secluded and private and boasts a deck for early morning relaxing to star gazing late at night.
